Get Involved with Stansbury Park Youth Baseball

Stansbury Park Youth Baseball is a community-driven league built by the families who participate in it. Our board members, coaches, and volunteers are all parents and community members who want to help create a positive experience for our players.

Like many youth sports organizations, the success of our season depends on the support of volunteers. Whether it’s helping during games, assisting behind the scenes, or supporting league operations, every volunteer plays an important role in making the season possible.

You do not need prior baseball experience to get involved. Many of our volunteers are parents who simply want to help support their child’s team and the league. Training, guidance, and support are always available.

Some roles require only a small amount of time during the season, while others help support the league year-round. Even a little help can make a meaningful difference.

If you’ve ever considered getting involved, we would love to hear from you.

Umpires Needed (Paid Position)

We are currently seeking umpires to officiate games across several divisions, from Machine Pitch through Majors. Games are typically played on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, beginning around 5:00 PM and finishing by approximately 8:30 PM.

Umpires should arrive early, be prepared to start games on time, and help ensure games are conducted fairly and safely. A league board member will always be present to provide support if needed.

Scorekeepers Needed (Paid Position)

We are currently seeking scorekeepers to help track game scores and maintain accurate records throughout the season. Scorekeepers play an important role in helping games run smoothly and ensuring results are properly recorded.

Scorekeepers are asked to arrive before games begin to allow time for setup and preparation. No previous scorekeeping experience is required, and training will be provided.

Board Members Needed

We are seeking additional parents and community members who would like to help support the league by serving on the board. Our board is made up entirely of volunteers, most of whom are parents of players who want to help ensure the league runs smoothly.

Board members help organize league operations, support coaches and players, and contribute to the overall success of the season. These roles are a great opportunity to help strengthen our local baseball community.

Open positions currently include:

  • Vice President – Assist the President with league operations and help coordinate board initiatives.
  • Field Manager – Help oversee field preparation and maintenance to ensure fields remain safe and playable.
  • Umpire Manager – Assist with recruiting, scheduling, and supporting umpires during the season.
  • Sponsor Manager – Serve as the main contact for league sponsors and help develop new sponsorship opportunities.
  • Snack Shack Manager – Help coordinate snack shack operations and volunteers throughout the season.

Some of these roles require more involvement than others, and responsibilities can often be shared among volunteers.

Ways to Help (Even if You Only Have a Little Time)

Not everyone has the availability to take on a full volunteer role, and that’s completely okay. There are many ways parents and community members can help support the league throughout the season.

Examples include:

  • Assisting with field cleanup days
  • Helping chalk fields before games
  • Volunteering in the snack shack
  • Assisting with league events or opening day activities
  • Supporting fundraising or sponsorship efforts

Even a small amount of time can make a big difference for the players and the league.
