Slacks Creek Junior Cricket Club was started by Keith Brough in 1969. The first match was played against Woodridge on 16th March, 1969. Keith was active with the club until 1980 when he was made a life member.

A concrete pitch was installed at Usher Park and the club had 4 teams competing. This was up from the 2 teams that were fielded between 1973 - 1977
Club looking for new home ground due to disharmony at Usher Park. Gained access to Loganholme State School, Slacks Creek State School & Springwood High School.
The Kuraby Cricket Club was formed which reduced our teams' numbers to 6 for the following season - a drastic reduction from the 10 teams that were fielded in the season before
Talks with Springwood Invitation 11 (Senior Teams) to merge with the Juniors. Talks with Alderman Huan Fraser & Alderman Allan de Brenni from Logan City Council On the development of Homestead Park with 2 Cricket Ovals & 2 Rugby Union Fields for next season.
12 Junior teams fielded. Merged with Seniors and built “the Bunker”, which is what the Clubhouse was then affectionately known as.
Jeff New became the new President (Juniors) between 1992 and 1996. He was followed by Darryl Murphy for one year, before Jeff became the president again - this time for a period of 13 years between 1998 - 2011. Michael Lusk took over presidency between 2011 - 2016
Logan City Rugby Union were moved to Queens Road Facility and Springwood Suns Took over 12 months of year for cricket. Started playing Winter Comps. Now has 4 fields at Homestead Park. 2014 was also the year we took over Turf Field at Oliver's Sports Complex Eagleby due to increasing numbers
State Government Grant for New Training Nets & Lights. Increasing training nets to 6 now due to increase in players.
Council tried to take back our field at Eagleby for Football Club. With Public Support & Darren Power support helped us to keep Eagleby as cricket field.
Club won Logan City Council Sports Organisation of the Year in 2017, while Marion Young won LCC Sports Administrator of the Year and Gary Young won Judges Choice for the year in 2018.
We had Mick de Brenni, then Sports Minister turning on the new lights at 6pm. Past Presidents & Life Members,. Qld Cricket Representatives, Darren Power attended this event. Allen de Brenni attended, who assisted in 1984 with acquiring Homestead Park and installing cricket ovals.

Today, our clubhouse is fast becoming one of Logan City's renowned sporting facilities catering for club members, twelve months of the year. The Club has the largest membership of any cricket club in Logan with approx. 550 members (Juniors, Seniors & Social Members) ranging in ages from 5-65 years. Over the last 30 years our club have won over 35 Premierships in both Junior and Senior Cricket.
