Volunteer Opportunities

At SMHA, we are 100% volunteer‑driven. We welcome your involvement as a convenor, coach, assistant coach, manager, trainer, or on‑ice helper for the upcoming 2026–27 season.

Evaluators

If you wish to be considered for a head coach position at the House level this season, participation in player evaluations is mandatory. This involves evaluating an entire group/level session, typically lasting 4 hours.

Please note that there are deadlines for completing all mandatory certifications. Volunteers who do not have valid certifications completed by the dates below will not be permitted on the ice:

• Respect in Sport & Gender Identity Training: Before the first league game
• Vulnerable Sector Check: October 31
