i9 Flag Football Rules

Divisions & Game Format

PeeWee | 4–6 | 4v4 (7v7 if needed) |
Junior | 7–9 | 7v7 |
Senior | 10–14 | 7v7 |
Game Basics
- Possession starts at the 5-yard line. 4 downs to cross midfield, then 4 downs to score.
- PeeWee: 4 downs to score – no first downs.
- No-Run Zones for Junior/Senior: 5 yards from end zones & midfield.
- Turnovers start at 5-yard line unless interception.
- Away team calls coin toss; winner chooses ball or side.
Practice Policy
Practice is held before the game on game days. Weekday practices optional.

Equipment & Uniform
- i9 jersey tucked in
- Mouthguards required (Junior/Senior)
- No red/orange shorts, no pockets
- No accessories (hats, visors, jewelry)
- Rubber cleats or tennis shoes only
- Correct flag belt placement mandatory
Game Timing

Overtime (Playoffs Only)
- 5 min periods, both teams get possession
- Repeat until a winner is decided
- Home team calls coin toss
Playoff Format
- Top 4 teams make playoffs
- Top 2 teams get home field in round 1
- Standings based on Win %, Points For/Against, Head-to-Head
