Softball Connacht Munster (SCM) is the regional governing body for softball across Connacht and Munster. Established at the end of 2021, SCM is a member region of Softball Ireland, working alongside Softball Leinster and Softball Ulster to support the development of softball across Ireland.

OUR ROLE

SCM supports the growth and development of softball throughout the region. We work with clubs, teams, players and umpires, and provide the competitions, resources and structures that allow softball to grow and develop locally.

Our work includes:

• Organising regional leagues and competitions

• Supporting new and existing teams

• Developing and supporting umpires

• Providing rules, policies and guidance

• Promoting participation and opportunities to play

• Supporting the continued development of softball across Connacht and Munster

WHO WE ARE

SCM is a volunteer-led organisation run by people who are actively involved in softball. We are an inclusive, mixed-gender, all-abilities region, with opportunities for adults to play, compete, officiate, volunteer and become involved in the wider softball community. Our co-ed slowpitch format provides a social and competitive environment where players with different levels of experience can play together.

Softball Connacht Munster is part of Softball Ireland, working alongside the other regional organisations to develop and support softball nationally. Our aim is simple: to build strong local softball communities and make sure there are opportunities for people to play and stay involved in the sport across Connacht and Munster.
