Mission

The mission of Rose City Rebels Softball is to provide low-cost, no-cut, no-tryout fastpitch softball opportunities for teenagers in the Portland metro area. 

We are a volunteer run 501c3 non-profit.

Registration for Fall 2026 is closed. However, we are accepting pickup players via this form. 

Interest for Summer 2027 can be expressed via this form. 

Coaches

We hire coaches for the summer! In Summer 2026, we hired 12 coaches, many of whom are young women who played softball through high school or who are still playing in college. 

We hope to hire 2 coaches for each team in 2027, a dedicated pitching coach, a dedicated catching coach, and 2 dedicated hitting coaches. Coaches will recieve a stipend of $1000. We hope to offer summer camps for the duration of the summer to provide more play opportunties for players, and income opportunities for coaches. If you are interested in being a coach for summer 2027, please fill out this application form. 

Corporate Sponsors

We are looking for 6 local businesses to sponsor the Summer 2027 season at $1,000 each. Each sponsorship will cover the cost of game balls, umpires, and field time, helping us keep registration fees low and ensure that Rose City Rebels remains an affordable, accessible program for girls who simply want to play softball.

In return for your support, your business name will be prominently featured on the upper back of our players’ jerseys throughout the Summer 2027 season.

Your $1,000 sponsorship directly helps keep girls in the game—while giving your business visibility and the opportunity to support a local, community-driven softball program.

Meet the Organizer:

Krissy Govertsen is the head coach at Ida B. Wells High School in Portland, Oregon. Krissy played t-ball, little league, travel, recreational fall ball, and one season DIII of college softball.
She fondly called Fall Ball 'Fun Ball', and when she heard there were no teams in Portland that just got together for fall ball, or fun, she couldn't resist!
