Frequently asked questions

Q: What if we start a game and it needs to be postponed due to weather?
A: Check out this detailed Postponed Game Requirements document that breaks down every part of the coaches' responsibilities to get the game rescheduled.

Q:  The game is final, but is stuck as a "Live" game on GameChanger and will not update standings. How do we avoid this?
A:  To keep our league schedule up-to-date and prevent completed games from staying tagged as Live, please follow these rules whenever scoring:
  1. Set Lineups Before Game Time: You can enter your team's starting lineup and roster ahead of time by tapping Edit Lineup directly from the event details. Doing this prepares your team without accidentally starting a "Live" scoring session early.
    2. Let Home Team Tap "Score Game" First: The first device to tap Score Game becomes the primary scorekeeper for the central league schedule. If the away team is keeping a private book for their own team stats, wait until the home team has opened the game first before tapping into it.
    3. Always Tap "Game Over" to End: When the final out is made, do not just close or swipe out of the app. Open the Game Menu and select Game Over (and select End Stream if you are streaming video). This releases the live signal on the central schedule.
    4. Sync Before Leaving the Field: Ensure your device has an active cell signal or Wi-Fi connection when you end the game. If you score offline, re-open the app once you get back into cell range so the final result can sync.
