Lead Power Skating Instructor - Jenna Pokol  

Jenna's love for skating began when she was five years old. She learned to skate at Champs Power Skating and attended countless camps over the years. During Jenna's younger years she played AA Ringette in Saskatoon until she graduated from high school. Jenna began hockey in grade 8 and played on the Saskatoon Comets from 1997 – 2000. In the summers, Jenna played with the SaskCan AAA female hockey program where she won two gold medal championships. After high school, Jenna moved to Calgary to train at the Olympic Oval High Performance Hockey Program from 2000-2004. During this time she played for the Oval X-treme where she won two Esso National Championships and two Western Shield Championships.  Jenna then played as a student-athlete at the University of Alberta in Edmonton from 2004-2007 where she was a three time Canada West Champion and a two CIS National Champion.  Jenna's hockey stick was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after she scored the game winning goal in the goal medal championship game. Since playing hockey at an elite level, Jenna's love for skating and hockey has transpired into coaching and mentoring athletes.  Jenna has her Hockey Canada Level 1 Coaching Certification and continues to coach in various communities in Saskatchewan across divisions. When Jenna isn't skating or at the rink, she is a Registered Psychologist who works with children, youth and adults. Jenna is passionate about helping others develop a growth mindset that enables them to try new things, navigate challenges, and build healthy strategies that help them to be the best version of themselves. Jenna looks forward to helping your child develop the skills to progress their abilities on the ice, as well to help grow their confidence on and off the ice as an athlete and individual.

 

Lead Dryland Instructor - Robin McComas

Robin is looking forward to another year with Pokol Powerskating.  She is passionate about helping young athletes feel confident as they reach their fitness and strength goals. She has Hockey Canada coaching Level 1 & 2 and has helped coach in the Comets zone from U7-U15.  Robin continues to foster growth beyond the rink. Her hard work and dedication has been recognized as she was the Recipient of the 2023/2024 Comets Senior Coach of the year. Robin assists on and off the ice with the Female AAA Sask XCEL hockey program and still enjoys playing hockey with her own adult safe team. Robin keeps athletes motivated and accountable, while bringing a high level of energy to her off ice training sessions. 

 

Lead Stick Handling and puck control Instructor - Brock Harrison 


Brock comes with years of hockey experience, skills and knowledge. Brock has been the Assistant coach for the Warman AAA Wildcats for 4 seasons. Last year he won the Saskwest Senior Hockey League with the Wilkie Outlaws and became the all time leading scorer in the league. Brock also competed at the highest level in ball hockey. This last year he won the World Championship with Team Canada in Switzerland, a National Championship in Winnipeg and coached the U17 Team Saskatchewan to a gold medal in the Western Challenge Cup. Brock will run the athletes through various stick handling drills and obstacles. Get ready to improve on those deceptive moves, quick hands and puck control.

 

Avery switzer - on ice helper

Avery has been coaching for the last 7 years, including the Bauer First Shift Program and Martensville Barnburner. Avery grew up playing hockey as a Warman Wildcat and played U18AA for the last 3 years. She is currently working as a CCA at a long term care facility and is going into her 2nd year of Nursing.
