COACHING & OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
If you have experience or just starting out, we want you to join the Phoenix Family in building a successful organization for years to come.
We are looking for individuals with a fun, outgoing, energetic personality able to work with youth of various ages in various roles. As a part of the Phoenix Family, you will also have opportunities to help in other roles as we always look within our organization first of those willing to help/volunteer within our various programs including camps/drop-ins, academy, leagues, beach, or with our competitive club teams.
Our goal is for everyone that becomes a member of the Phoenix Family to feel confident and successful in their role through ongoing support, mentorship, and guidance as needed.

LEAGUE INSTRUCTOR - 2028 GIRLS 12U-14U
LEAGUE REFEREE - 2028 GIRLS 12U-14U
CLUB HEAD COACH - 2027 13U-18U GIRLS (Age TBD) (Niverville/Hanover area)
We are looking for coaches in the Niverville/Hanover area as we are looking to expand and run at least one team out of the area for 2027.
Those interested in a Head Coach position with Phoenix Volleyball Club should be at least 21 years of age. Prior coaching experience is required and evaluated to determine the age class where your coaching style and experience would be most beneficial for both the team and yourself. Playing experience would be a definite assest.
CLUB ASSISTANT COACH - 2027 13U-18U GIRLS (Age TBD) (Niverville/Hanover area)
We are looking for coaches in the Niverville/Hanover area as we are looking to expand and run at least one team out of the area for 2027.
Those interested in an Assistant Coach position with Phoenix Volleyball Club should be at least 18 years of age. This role would benefit from prior coaching experience but its not a requirement; However, playing experience would be an asset.
ACADEMY ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR - 2026 FALL SESSION (Winnipeg)
Those interested in an Assistant Instructor position with Phoenix Volleyball Club must be at least 18 years old with volleyball experience.
This role will be to assist the Lead Instructor in running each weekly lesson drills and is a good opportunity for those looking to gain experience in becoming a Lead Instructor or Junior Club Coach.
BEACH COACHES / INSTRUCTORS - 2027 12U-18U GIRLS (Winnipeg)
Our beach program is tentatively scheduled to start Summer 2027.
LEAGUE INSTRUCTOR - 2028 12U-14U GIRLS (Winnipeg)
Our in-house League program is tentatively scheduled to start in 2028.
Instructors must be at least 18 years of age and have playing experience. Instructors are responsible for planning and instructing age appropriate practice drills.
Parent volunteers will attend practices and be assigned as bench coaches.
LEAGUE REFEREE - 2028 12U-14U GIRLS (Winnipeg)
Our in-house League program is tentatively scheduled to start in 2028.
Referees must be at least 17 years of age and available weekends and/or weekday evenings.
All staff, coaches, and volunteers over 18 years of age working directly with youth or acting as a ‘Person In Authority’ must complete certain mandatory background checks and may be required to complete certain workshops/certifications as specified by Volleyball Manitoba and Volleyball Canada. These are all very simple to complete but we provide any help you might need to complete them.
