After almost a 2 year hiatus due in part to government lockdowns, Phoenix Volleyball Club returned in 2023 with a new style and attitude while keeping our core values. Developing player fundamental technical skills in a competitive environment continues to be our mission and thanks to the support of our coaches, staff/volunteers, parents, and players we achieved much success in reaching our goals over the season.

The steady growth and development of our players on and off the court was evident to everyone as the season progressed. Now, looking forwards in preparation for the 2024 season, we are extremely excited for the future of Phoenix Volleyball Club and our athletes !


Phoenix Volleyball Club is planning to field at least one team in each of the following age classes for the 2024 season:

13U Girls
Head Coach: TBC
Asst Coach: TBC

14U Girls (TBC)
Head Coach: TBC
Asst Coach: TBC

15U Girls (TBC)
Head Coach: TBC
Asst Coach: TBC

Club Athletic Therapist: TBC

Season Duration

Our club season officially begins with the first practice in January and ends with Nationals in May. We also have our banquet and awards ceremony held shortly after Nationals.

Orientation Day

Player/parent orientation and meet 'n' greet evening to receive further club/team information and jersey sizing.
First team registration installment payment is required before orientation day.

Practice Training Schedule

2 hour practices are 3 weekday evenings TBC.

Tournaments

Teams will participate in 6-8 tournaments including Provincials, Nationals, and at least one tournament in Brandon. The 2024 Nationals are as follows:

14U - Richmond, BC
15U - Edmonton, AB

Teams may also travel to tournaments in Selkirk, Saskatchewan, and Ontario but these require a minimum roster of players whose families have agreed to enter. Teams may also elect to attend tournaments outside of those scheduled by the club and the Team Manager will be able to provide related details.

Team Registration Fee

Club registration fees will be posted within the next few weeks. Registration fee covers the following expenses including:

  • Volleyball Canada/Manitoba registration and player membership fee
  • All tournament registration fees (6-7 tournaments incl. Provincials & Nationals)
  • Facility rentals & applicable insurance
  • Team apparel (2 game jerseys, 2 practice shirts, 1 warm-up shirt, 1 hoodie, 1 sweatpants, 1 backpack)
  • Coach honorariums & expenses
  • Equipment, supplies, & administration costs

Phoenix Volleyball Club provides an opportunity for young female athletes to experience high level coaching with a competitive club while having fun and making new friends.
