Penticton Men’s League Basketball is back for its biggest season yet as registration officially opens for Season 3.

After two strong seasons of competitive basketball, packed gyms, and a growing basketball community in the South Okanagan, the league is preparing for another exciting year of organized 5-on-5 action this fall.

Season 3 will run from September 3rd to December 3rd, with official league games beginning on September 17th. The first two weeks of the season will feature evaluation runs and drop-in sessions used by organizers to assess players and create balanced teams.

The league continues to operate using an individual registration format, where all players sign up individually and teams are selected by organizers to maintain competitive balance throughout the season. The format has helped create close games, strong rivalries, and a great atmosphere both on and off the court.

Registration for Season 3 includes:

• Custom league jersey
• Refereed 5-on-5 games
• Recorded games posted to YouTube
• Organized schedules, standings, and playoffs
• End-of-season awards
• Championship and playoff games
• Free drop-in basketball from January to June

Season awards will once again recognize standout performances and contributions throughout the year, including categories such as MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Mr. Nice Guy, and many other league recognitions.

Players interested in joining the league are encouraged to register early, as previous seasons have filled quickly. An early bird discount applies to all regisration before July 1st!

The Penticton Basketball League is thrilled to announce that Season 2 is officially underway! After an exciting inaugural season, we’re back with more competitive hoops, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments on the court.

A huge congratulations to last year’s champions, the Midlife Ballers, for their hard-fought victory in the Season 1 championship! We also want to give a special shoutout to Drayden Power, who earned the Season 1 MVP Award for his outstanding performance throughout the season.

What to Expect in Season 2

The season officially begins on September 18th, featuring 10 weeks of round-robin games, with each team playing every other team twice and enjoying two bye weeks. The top three teams will automatically advance to the playoffs starting November 27th, while the 4th and 5th place teams will battle it out in a play-in game to secure the final playoff spot. The season will culminate December 4th with the 3rd place & Championship games.
