Who can play?
Girls in divisions 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and NEW for 2027: 14U. Your player's division is based on her birthday (see the chart below).
How much does it cost?
- 6U: $150
- 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U: $230
- Early Bird: $20 off when you register by Dec 10, 2026 (applied automatically)
- Sibling discount: $20 off each additional sibling (applied automatically)
- Need help with fees? No player is turned away for financial reasons. Email registration@pasadenagsa.com about a scholarship before you register.
What's included?
Every player receives a Mizuno jersey, visor, socks and helmet sticker.
Key 2027 dates
- Thu, Jan 14: Select Tryouts (MANDATORY for any player interested in playing on a Select team; must be registered for the spring season, additional cost may apply)
- Mon, Jan 18 (11:59 PM): Registration closes
- Tue, Jan 19: MANDATORY Skills Evaluations (make-up day Thu, Jan 21)
- Fri, Jan 22: Draft / team selections
- Sat, Jan 23: Team practices can begin
- Sat, Feb 20: Opening Day Ceremonies & regular season begins
- May 1–2: PGSA Annual Inter-League Playoffs (MANDATORY | DON'T MAKE ANY PLANS)
- Mon, May 3: All-Star evaluations
- Fri, May 7: All-Star selections & parent meeting
Where and when are practices and games?
- Practices are held at John Muir High School in Pasadena (home of our brand-new South Softball Stadium) and surrounding parks.
- Depending on division, there are 1–2 practices per week. Day and time depend on your coach's schedule; we typically start 6U & 8U at 5:00 PM and 10U–14U at 6:30 PM.
- Games: one Saturday game and possibly one weekday game per week, played in Pasadena and surrounding cities.
Fall Select vs. Spring Select play?
Spring is different from fall. In the fall, USA Softball allows Select players to play a separate season. In the spring, every player (including Select players) is drafted to a team, and all spring players play the regular season together. Spring Select play is on Sundays only (additional registration fee), and every Select player must play at least 75% of regular-season rec games to stay eligible for Sunday Select play.
What equipment does my player need?
- Navy blue softball pants
- Glove
- Bat
- Batting helmet
- Cleats
- Fielding mask (optional)
- Softball bag (bat pack, or roller bag for catchers)

What is the FREE Community Academy?
Pasadena Girls Softball is a program of Alta Pasa Fastpitch, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Through our FREE Community Academy, every player has access to professional training from experienced and college coaches, up to 4 nights a week. Ask your coach for the schedule!
What is the refund policy?
Full refund on or before Feb 13, 2027, unless your player's jersey packet has already been ordered (then 50%). No refunds after Feb 13, 2027.
