coach pat sullivan

Coach Sullivan has been active in the Ottawa basketball community and has been a top coach in the Ottawa Elite club. In 2014-2015 he coached the Ottawa Elite U15/Grade 9 Boys Team to an Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA) U16/Grade 10 Division gold medal and an Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) U16 Division 3 gold medal. The next year, Sullivan coached the Ottawa Elite U16/Grade 10 Boys Team to a strong silver medal finish in the Canadian Youth Basketball League (CYBL). In 2016-2017 Patrick coached the Ottawa Elite U17/Grade 11 Men's Team to a CYBL Championship and an OBA U19 Division 1 silver medal, to end a very successful season.
Coach Sullivan is a great asset to the program bringing his strong background in coaching with a Master’s in Coaching Studies from the University of Victoria, NCCP Level III training and officiating youth and adult programs. Pat is currently enrolled in the Advanced Coaching Diploma Program at the National Coaching Institute. He has coached Canadian Forces Base men’s and women’s teams, has coached at Kings University, the University of Saskatchewan and at the high school level. Pat was a basketball official across Canada for 20 years and has served as the Chief Official for the Canadian Armed Forces. For the past 7 years, Pat coached the Canadian Forces Women's and Men’s National Teams who competed at the world championships in China in Fall 2019. Currently, Pat is the Head Coach of the Ottawa Elite U17/Grade 11 Boys Team.
