Ottawa Elite delivers a premier basketball experience designed for athletes who are ready to train, compete, and excel at the highest level. By recruiting the top coaches in the region, Ottawa Elite provides elite skill development, high-intensity training sessions, and a professional development pathway in a true high-performance environment. Teams train at Carleton University, one of the country’s leading basketball institutions, with coaches supported by players from the Carleton Ravens Men’s Basketball Team. Athletes benefit from direct exposure to university-level training standards, mentorship, and resources throughout the season. Ottawa Elite teams compete in top-tier leagues and tournaments, carefully selected to provide the best possible balance of competition, exposure, and long-term athlete development. Our players proudly compete in the Canadian Youth Basketball League (CYBL), North Pole Hoops, the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA), and additional elite competitions determined by coaching staff each season. The Ottawa Youth Basketball Academy (OYBA) is committed to making elite basketball accessible. Registration and team fees are kept as affordable as possible to ensure talented athletes from all financial backgrounds have the opportunity to compete, develop, and succeed. |

Ottawa Elite Prep is a high-performance program designed for Grade 11, Grade 12 and Prep-year athletes seeking advanced preparation for post-secondary basketball opportunities. This elite environment focuses on player development, exposure, and competition at the highest prep level. Athletes train under elite-level coaches through structured team practices and individualized skill development sessions. All practices and games are professionally filmed using the PlaySight SmartCourt system and shared through the HUDL Sportscode platform, providing athletes with valuable film breakdown, performance analysis, and recruitment-ready footage. Ottawa Elite Prep athletes also benefit from exclusive access to Carleton University’s Ravens’ Nest, a top-flight basketball facility, as well as strength and conditioning sessions led by Certified Trainers at the Carleton High Performance Centre. This university-level training environment mirrors the demands of post-secondary programs and prepares athletes for the next stage of their basketball careers. The Ottawa Elite Prep season runs from August tryouts through May, offering a comprehensive development pathway that emphasizes high-level competition, exposure, and personal growth. Teams compete in the North Pole Hoops D1 Prep League, elite prep tournaments in Montreal, Toronto, and the United States and a carefully selected schedule of competitive exhibition games. |

Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more. Please note that, Individual Child Grant applications may no longer be accepted at your local Chapter. Please register/log in to your Jumpstart account to confirm the Chapter's status.

KIDSPORT OTTAWA
We provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Ottawa can play a season of sport.
Our chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $250 per child/year, for kids who live in Ottawa, or in one of the other communities we serve. If you live outside of Ottawa please contact the Provincial Office to find your nearest chapter, or to get support through the Provincial Fund.

Ontario Growing Up Through Sports offers financial assistance to low-income families across communities in Ontario. Ontario Growing Up Through Sports believes that no matter the situation at home, all kids should be able to enjoy what playing sports has to offer in their local communities.
