Old Pueblo Football — Participant Policies & Agreements

Affiliation & Pre-Registration Notice

Old Pueblo Football (OPF) is an independent organization.

OPF is not affiliated with any outside organization, club, or team unless explicitly stated in writing by Old Pueblo Football.

Some teams participating in OPF events may share similar names, organizers, or coaches with other programs. This does not imply any formal affiliation, partnership, endorsement, or operational relationship.

Registration and participation acknowledge and accept this distinction.

Mission, Values & Purpose

Old Pueblo Football exists to provide a positive, developmental, and community-driven football environment for youth in Tucson.

We believe in accountability, learning through competition, and growth in a structured, respectful, and family-first setting.

Code of Conduct & Enforcement

This Code of Conduct applies to all players, parents/guardians, coaches, spectators, and organizational representatives participating in or attending Old Pueblo Football events.

Acceptance of this Code of Conduct is required as part of registration and as a condition of attendance.

Authority & Enforcement
Disciplinary decisions are determined by the OPF Commissioner or a designated League Representative acting on behalf of Old Pueblo Football. Violations may result in removal from the venue, suspension, or permanent removal from participation, without refund.

Right of Removal
Old Pueblo Football reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any individual from an OPF event or venue at any time if their presence is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or contrary to the best interests of participants, officials, facility staff, or league operations.
Removal may occur regardless of whether the conduct is specifically listed in this Code of Conduct and may occur with or without warning.

Organizational Notification
OPF reserves the right to notify a participant’s home organization, club, or program of any conduct, safety, or disciplinary incident, if applicable.

Code of Conduct — Players

Players participating in Old Pueblo Football agree to:

  • Show good sportsmanship toward players, coaches, officials, and opponents
  • Respect officials’ decisions and league rules
  • Attend games and activities as scheduled
  • Encourage teammates and demonstrate positive behavior
  • Act honestly, fairly, and respectfully
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn

Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue or further disciplinary action.

Code of Conduct — Parents & Guardians

Parents and guardians agree to:

  • Prioritize the emotional and physical well-being of all youth participants
  • Respect players, coaches, officials, staff, and families
  • Accept the decisions of coaches and officials
  • Refrain from profanity, threats, intimidation, or aggressive behavior
  • Avoid yelling instructions to players during games
  • Model positive sportsmanship at all times
  • Not belittle or ridicule any participant publicly, privately, or online
  • Comply with all sideline, safety, and spectator requirements

Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue or further disciplinary action.

Code of Conduct — Coaches

Coaches participating in Old Pueblo Football agree to:

  • Coach with a focus on development, safety, and learning
  • Place athlete well-being above winning
  • Follow all OPF rules, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Communicate with the Head official only, calmly and respectfully
  • Refrain from arguing calls or confronting officials
  • Treat all participants with respect and integrity
  • Represent Old Pueblo Football and the Tucson community positively

Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue or further disciplinary action.

General Release, Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Participation in Old Pueblo Football activities involves inherent risks, including bodily injury, property damage, or death.

By registering or participating, I release and discharge Old Pueblo Football, its directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability arising from participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from all related claims, including attorney’s fees.

I authorize OPF to obtain medical treatment in the event of injury or illness.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
Electronic acceptance during online registration constitutes a legally binding signature.

Sports Physical Recommendation

A sports physical is not required for participation but is strongly recommended prior to engaging in football activities.

Photo & Media Release

Participants and attendees, including non-registered guests present at OPF events, participants and attendees grant Old Pueblo Football permission to photograph, record, and use images, audio, or video of themselves or their registered minor(s) for lawful promotional purposes, including websites, social media, marketing, and league communications.

This authorization is indefinite unless revoked in writing. No compensation is owed, and all media becomes the property of Old Pueblo Football. Participants and attendees waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product and release Old Pueblo Football from all liability related to the use of such media.

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@opfaz.com. Processing and transaction fees are non-refundable.

Refunds may be considered for verified medical reasons or insufficient team enrollment, subject to administrative fees and board discretion.

Refunds will not be issued for scheduling conflicts, dissatisfaction with team placement or coaching, weather impacts, or voluntary withdrawal after season start.

Season start is defined as the first scheduled game, regardless of whether the participant attends.

Credits, if issued, are non-transferable and valid for one calendar year.

OPF reserves the right to deny or modify refunds at its sole discretion in accordance with applicable law.
