Opening Day for the 2026 Kiwanis Soccer season is this Saturday, 8/15!!! We hope that everyone has enjoyed meeting their team and coaches at some practices. If not, you will meet them on Saturday or during the season. It's taken a lot of time and planning to prepare for the season, so we are happy that it's finally here!

There is a lot of information in this post, so please take the time to read it all. 

Logistical and facility information

• Due to the active construction at VES, have very important parking notes for you to adhere to. PLEASE ONLY PARK IN THE LOT ACROSS THE BRIDGE AND IN THE OVERFLOW LOT AT ST. MATTHEWS CHURCH!!
  
  
  • DO NOT park anywhere near the school in the side lot or front entrance area.
  • DO NOT park in the roadways on the surrounding roads (Dommorro Drive, Altamont Road, Mountainview Street, Maple Ave, Swift Road, or Crowridge Road)
  • Those that do not adhere to these parking restrictions will risk getting a ticket from local Law Enforcement 
    
    
• We are guests at the Voorheesville Elementary School. Please keep it clean and pick up after yourself. If you see trash on the ground, pick it up and dispose of it properly. 
  
  
• Due to the construction, our Snack Shack has no power again this year. With that being said, we will have a limited number of items available during the season. Sadly, there will be no freeze pops this season. 
  
  

General information about the season

• Unless otherwise noted on the calendar, the season schedule for games is:
  • Pre-Wee Division - 6PM on Mondays and 9AM on Saturdays
  • Pee-Wee Division - 6PM on Tuesdays and 10:30AM on Saturdays
  • Juniors Division - 6PM on Wednesdays and 12PM on Saturdays
  • Seniors Division - 6PM on Thursdays and 1:30PM on Saturdays
  • Please be aware that there are some days where Divisions swap or there are no games due to scheduling conflicts. It is important to check the website for an accurate calendar of events. 
    
    
• The schedules for the remainder of the season can be found on our new website. You can click HERE and then choose the appropriate division/team for your player.
  • Field Maps will be available at the fields to help find your game location. 
  • You can also find the field map by clicking HERE
    • For our Juniors and Seniors Divisions, please note that you will be using Fields 2 and 3 this year regardless of what the schedule says on our website.
      
      
• Cleats and shin guards (covered in socks) are required for every level. 
  
  
• As long as our shirt order is complete, team shirts will be distributed on Opening Day.
  
  
• If you don't know where your team is on Saturday, please come to the Snack Shack and ask. Someone will be able to help you find the right spot. 
  
  
• Be sure to follow New Scotland Kiwanis on Facebook for all events, updates, and news related to the program. We will also post game cancellations/postponements.
  
  
• We will have a few bins of used cleats near the snack shack on Saturday. If your player needs some, feel free to look and take what you need. Also, if you have any used cleats that you are looking to get rid of, please bring them with you and donate them to the Snack Shack!

We cannot wait to get the players out on the field so they can play some soccer! We are looking forward to a successful, safe and fun 2026 season! Now that registration is closed, we are working hard on finalizing all of the details for the season. Once all details, coach pairings, and teams are finalized, additional information will be sent out and posted to our website. Please be patient as we work through these important tasks. For now, please read some season details below.
