Sandy Ruckstuhl Scholarship program

Sandy Ruchstuhl, was president of the Myers Riders Football Club for 37 years. Sandy, with his wife Linda, have given so much of their time and dedication to our club.  For that we are forever grateful.  Sandy was a football icon in the Ottawa community.  Sandy's belief and the foundation of our club was that the kids always came first - without them, there was no club.  Sandy's passion and knowledge for the sport and success of his players was admired by many and continued to show through the years he dedicated. Youth success was always important to Sandy and he always encouraged the kids to pursue their education.

Myers is please to be offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Bantam and/or Midget player who is pursuing post-secondary education. Participation in a post-secondary football program is not a prerequisite. The money awarded will be issued directly to the student's account at the school of their choice

There are however, three selection criteria – Academics, Myers Experience, and Community Involvement.
