Milton Women's Hockey League - Player Terms & Conditions


By registering for the Milton Women’s Hockey League (“League”), you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Eligibility

  • Players must meet the age and eligibility requirements as outlined by the League.

  • The League reserves the right to verify eligibility and deny or revoke registration if requirements are not met.

2. Registration & Fees

  • Registration is only complete once payment is received in full.

  • Fees are non-refundable once the season has commenced, as outlined in our Refund Policy.

  • Players are responsible for ensuring their registration information is accurate and up to date.

3. Team Placement

  • Players may request to play with up to four (4) other players at the time of registration. While efforts are made to accommodate requests, placement is not guaranteed.

  • The League reserves the right to assign players to teams to ensure fairness and balance.

4. Call-Ups & Substitutions

  • Teams may request call-up players when they have eight (9) players or fewer available prior to game time.

  • During playoffs, call-up players must have participated in a minimum of five (5) regular season games to be eligible.

  • The League reserves the right to approve or deny call-up requests. All substitution requests must be made through the correct channels with the league to ensure fairness and insurance protocol.

5. Code of Conduct

  • Players must demonstrate good sportsmanship and respectful behavior at all times.

  • Aggressive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior (on or off the ice) may result in suspension or removal from the League without refund.

  • Players are expected to follow all League rules, referee decisions, and facility policies.

6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver

  • Hockey is a contact sport and carries inherent risks, including injury. By registering, players acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at their own risk.

  • The League, its organizers, referees, and facility partners are not liable for injuries, damages, or lost property.

  • Players are strongly encouraged to wear proper protective equipment at all times.

7. Insurance

  • Players are required to be insured under Carha insurance and must sign the mandatory waiver form prior to playing any games or stepping foot on the ice.

  • Proof of insurance may be required at registration or prior to participation.

8. Media & Promotion

  • By registering, players consent to the use of their name, image, and likeness in League promotions, including photos and videos, unless otherwise requested in writing.

9. League Authority

  • The League reserves the right to modify schedules, rules, or policies as necessary.

  • Decisions made by the League regarding eligibility, suspensions, or disputes are final.

10. Agreement

By completing registration and payment, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

  • Accept responsibility for your participation in the Milton Women’s Hockey League.
