Splitting on field is prohibit during game. Referee will issue warning and next one will be yellow card.
2022-11-17 Rules Clarification for Ref games
1. Games start no later than 10:10p and minimum player for kickoff is 5 includes goalkeeper.
2. Substitution rule is sub at any stoppage. Call out sub so Referee is acknowledge the sub.
3. If ball hits a referee and change possession to another team, drop ball to the team who kicked and hit the referee
4. Only PK is direct , all others including corner kicks, goal kicks, kickoff are considered as indirect free kick.
5. New rules for ball touching wires or ceiling, will be drop ball to the team who last touch the ball, the opponent can not challenge the drop ball.
E.g. if the goalkeeper kicks a goal kick and touches the ceiling, a drop ball will be back to the keeper's spot where he kicks it
General
Period: 11/03/22 to 4/27/23 Every Thursday, 10pm to 11:30pm (no game on 12/22/22 and 3/16/23) at Markham Sports Dome.
Total of 24 games (2 Friendly, 20 Regular Season, 1 seeding and 1 final); 1 ½ hour field time. Game Time is 40mins Half. Game starts no later than 10:05pm.
Roster Rules
Each team will have max. of 12 players and min. of 7 players.
Deadline to add players to roster if still available is 1/4/2023.
7on7 with only registered players on roster allow to sub, no drop in.
Each team allow to cut one player and replace a new player to roster no later than 2/1/2023
Min. of 10 players over 40 years old in 2023; and max. 2 players over 35 years old in 2023.
Game Time:
Game time is 40mins half, 5mins break. Game starts no later than 10:05pm regardless if team have enough players.
Referee will be presence for all regular season, seeding and final games. In case a ref did not make it to the game, home team captain will be doing the time keeping
Regular season (20 matches):
Each team will have 20 regular season games. 3 points are awarded for a win; 1 point for a draw and 0 for a lost
Tie Breaker Rule for seeding game placement: 1st Goal Diff; 2nd Total Goal; 3rd Head to Head; 4th Coin Toss
Seeding Game 4/20 (1 match):
1 seed vs 4 seed; 2 seed vs 3 seed; If match is draw, the higher seed team will be the winner. And 5 seed vs 6 seed (Friendly Game)
Final Game 4/27 (1 match):
loser of 1/4 seeding game vs loser of 2/3 seeding AND 5 seed vs 6 seed team are Friendly games
winner of 1/4 seeding game vs winner of 2/3 seeding game for the Championship game
if the championship game is tie, will have penalty kick to determine the winner
Game Play General Rules:
No offside, size 4 soccer ball, all indirect free kick, if foul called, free kick from the spot
NO SLIDING TACKLE
ref game yellow card player will sit for 2 mins and the team will play one man under
only indoor shoe and/or indoor turf shoe is allowed
if team has less than 7 registered players for the game, the team can choose to play with less than 7 players. No handicap. (ex. If only 6 shown up, will play 6 vs 7)
if a drop in or non-registered player is in the game, opponent team will be award as winner as result of 0-3.
