Midget football is full contact spring football for players in grades 9, 10, and 11. It is not only a great way for players to stay fresh and get better for their high school seasons, but it also a chance to play in a highly competitive league and compete for a league championship. Our dedicated and experienced coaching staff represents both high schools in Lloydminster. Because of this, it is our goal to develop players to make impacts on their high school teams, as well as to win championships in the Midget division. 

Registration is also open to players outside of Lloydminster, including Macklin, Wainwright, Bonnyville, St. Paul, and Cold Lake. 

The Red Dogs play in the Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) midget league. The majority of games are in Edmonton, with one game per year being played in Lloydminster and occasional games in Red Deer.  Transportation is provided for players to and from games. 

Training camp starts at the beginning of February. Practices are three nights per week.

Games begin in late March and end in Early May.

Registration for the 2026 season is currently closed. Stay tuned for registration for the 2027 season.
