2024/2025 LL Travel Game Rules
- Games are played with (4) 10:00min running clock quarters. Clock will stop on timeouts, injuries and last minute of each quarter on all whistles.
- Overtime is 3:00 minute stopped clock / 2nd OT is Sudden Victory.
- (2) Timeouts per half (60sec.) / OT is (1) timeout (no carryover)
- Teams will shoot 2 FT on common fouls starting with 5th team foul in each quarter (Shooting fouls always 2 shots). Team Fouls reset each quarter.
- Players are disqualified on 5th personal foul (Technical fouls count as personal as well as team fouls).
- Girls games and Boys 5th grade games shall be played with a 28.5 basketball.
- Mercy rule: if lead over 20 points, clock will not stop for last minutes in any quarter except for T.O or injury.
- Girls 5th grade games will shoot free throws from a taped free throw line 2 feet in front of actual free throw line.
Pressing / Zone Defense:
NO Zone Defense permitted. Teams will play Man-2-Man Defense in the halfcourt.
6th Grade- No pressing until 2nd half of game
5th Grade- No pressing until last 5 minutes of 4th quarter
Pressing is defined as setting up a defense during dead ball in backcourt. *Note - a made basket is considered a dead ball.
Teams can still play full court defense against defensive rebound or change of possession at any time.
