On August 12, 2024, our beloved coach and long-time league president, Darryl Harding, passed away suddenly.

His passion for this league was unmatched and his absence left a void that can never be fully filled. In every game we’ve played since, and at every event we’ve held, we as a league have worked hard to honour his memory and the legacy he created.

Coach D made sure that every child who wanted to play baseball got that chance. Despite him not being at the 2024 closing day, we made sure his presence was still felt. And, he continued to be with each player at all games this season with his initials and number on the sleeve of every jersey. In recognition of his commitment to grow the game starting with our youngest players, his Kids Play Baseball logo appears on the back of our 5U division jerseys.

Wishing Well Park was Darryl’s second home and you could find him there most nights, all summer long. And in July 2025, city council forever enshrined his name at the park; renaming Diamond 1 as the Darryl Harding Memorial Diamond.

His memory lives on with every passing season as we continue to provide affordable, fun, safe baseball actiities for all youth in our community to develop their skills and their love of the sport.
