The Edmonton Arctic Pride have clinched the title of Western Conference Champions for the 2025 season. Their standout performance on the field showcased the team’s hard work, dedication, and skill, cementing their status as a dominant force in the league. This achievement highlights the Pride’s relentless drive and proves they’re a formidable contender in women’s tackle football.
In a thrilling run, the Pride earned the right to host the WWCFL championship final at Commonwealth Stadium against the 11‑time WWCFL champions, defending champs, the Saskatoon Valkyries. It was a hard‑fought game with a small roster. Many Pride athletes played the entirety of the game on offense, defense, and special teams, showcasing their grit and determination.
While our athletes weren't able to dethrone the Saskatoon Valkyries, they did make their mark in their first season in the WWCFL. We’re incredibly proud of the team’s success and accomplishments in their inaugural season; a remarkable leap that sets a high bar for the years ahead. The squad’s success is a testament to their teamwork and the unwavering support of our community.
