The AFL have officially postponed both matches set to be played in Queensland for opening round as Cyclone Alfred approaches.
The forecast for Thursday and Saturday sees at least 25mm of rain and damaging winds gusts of up to 130km/h.
The matches that have been postponed are yet to be rescheduled, while the Forward Flank team has removed them from our website and is labelled as CANCELLED in the schedule tab.
Tickets purchased for the matches will still be valid when the AFL confirms the rescheduled date, which is most likely to be in the teams bye round.
The AFL has said the safety of all players, staff, coaches, umpires and spectators are of number one priority.
