Baseball Weekly 2.1 - 2026 Preseason Players Poll
Here it is the Third Annual Federal League Players Poll for the season of 2026. These votes and responses were collected anonymously by players, managers and fans over two days. Most people took this poll seriously, others I guess needed to take jabs and joke around, example? The Minnesota Twins got two votes for Class B Champions.
Let’s see how good your crystal ball is and take a deep dive into the poll results and maybe we can learn something from the always informative league suggestions.

DIVISIONS
Who will win the Federal East?
East Metro Mammoth: 44
Rosemount Pipers: 18
River Falls Groupers: 2
Funny enough, the Mammoth received exactly 44 votes in 2025 as well. With a roster featuring Tom Corcoran, Emery Hull, Matt Grill, and Casey Johnson— we know we're leaving out other key players—they're once again the team to beat in the East. Until someone can unseat them, they remain the wise choice.
The Pipers are starting things off with bad news as Logan Pinckney is out for the season after a knee injury and surgery. Ken Fry also trimmed the roster down to a lean mean machine. Ryan Walker was a great addition to pair with Alex Mack and you have MVP favorite and new league commissioner Cliff Christopherson to lead the Pipers. If anything, they will have the Tap Society truck there and waiting for you post game.
South Metro is expected to improve, especially if Grant Schara can pitch like he did in 2024 and if their new arms live up to expectations. With the new playoff play-in games, you could see the Saints in the AAA? Mike Wickman is building a solid squad as Saint Paul could be a dangerous dark horse, feeling inspired after a Class A Championship loss they added more guys in the offseason and are looking to move up and represent as the last St Paul team left in the Federal.
A rebranded Bloomington is a favorite in Class B taking on the trendy name Biscuits, and we never know what’s brewing across the border in River Falls or St. Croix—don't sleep on those neighbors. River Falls is always a threat come playoff time, always flirting with a Class AAA ticket come July.
Last but not least, Cannon Valley out of Miesville is the big question mark. Will they be like Hastings—competitive right out of the gate—or need some time to find their footing? With former Red Wing Aces such as pitcher Derek Stumpf, catcher Andrew Schilling, and indie ball veteran Tony Cuchetti, my guess is they'll be competitive from the start.

Who will win the Federal West?
Minnetonka Saints: 35
Waconia Islanders: 15
Apple Valley A’s: 8
Now let me welcome everybody to the Wild Wild West / A division that's untouchable like Eliot Ness...
The lakes division sees the return of the Lakers, Mustangs and welcomes Apple Valley to the debatable best division in the Federal League. The Minnetonka Saints were just one game away from the Class AAA Championship and uploaded with some more talent to break through that ceiling. The rest of the league agrees with 35 votes to win the West. Jeremy Salden, Scott Marquardt and Waconia are looking to also build off last summer and make a run for the title. They need to get by the Saints who they went winless against in 2025.
Poor Apple Valley, they started in the East, rumored to move to the South and ended up in the West. After getting beat up by Mapquest in the offseason, the A's are looking to be the loud new neighbor. The repeat Class AA Champs want to move up and with the 1-2 pitching of Tim Scott and Josh Stoll they could pull it off if the offense comes alive sooner than July.
Tonka Bay is back where it belongs; wooden docks, boat motors and Lord Fletchers. But will Jim Brower be back? Rumors. But the Lakers still have Brandon Wolf and an impressive lineup of Tim Mettert, Jeff Clabots, Nate Jackson and "newcomer" Jon Hurt from Lyons Pub fame. This team will be a solid contender and wouldn't be a surprise to see them leap frog it's Hwy 7 brethren by summer's end.
Eden Prairie Flyers came on strong once again late in the season including a big win over Rockford. Look for Brian Morgan, Chris Adams and Charlie Steingas to keep this club competitive for a full summer this time around? The voters know something we don't as they were one of the favorites for a "surprise" team to look out for. The Minnetonka Mustangs surprised some teams last season with eight players batting over .315 - more than some AAA teams above them - they had a sneaky good lineup. Can it continue in the West?
The Chaska Voyageurs are slowly rebuilding after getting raided a few seasons ago. But they have the players and attitudes they want wearing the green and gold. They could also be a surprise with studs like Andrew Berenguer, Andy Dauwalter and Jack Younggren. They do an excellent job sharing the pitching duties between four different pitchers which will benefit them come playoff time. For the other team in town, Brett Jahnke had a solid summer at the plate and on the bump, get Joe Barrett some more games with Ryan Johnson and Patrick Rach and the Chaska Diamonds will spoil some teams ambitions this season.

Who will win the Federal North?
Saint Louis Park Snappers: 32
Minnoka Grays: 27
Rockford Rail Splitters: 5
The rest of the league always looks down on the North, but that's okay - they like it that way. The ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said "There is no greater danger than underestimating your opponent." And sticking to that wisdom, once again the voting mass has looked past the three-peat Class AAA champs and have voted for the St Louis Park Snappers to win the North. The Snappers convinced former Lobos Brett Larsen and Trevor Stolhanske to come back home and add to their impressive batting order. The Snappers are also moving to Lighted Field (see below) and are putting all their shells in a basket to make a run for the title this summer.
The Grays are trying to be the first team in Federal League history to win a Class AAA four-peat. (St Patrick four peated Class A from 15-18) This year Minnoka will have a healthy Nick Larson, rested pitching and an inspired bunch who want to have another champagne bath come August. But the rest of the league doubts that will happen according to this poll.
Rockford just celebrated its 15th anniversary in the Federal League. You can set your clock to the success of the Splitters, always going to be one of the top offenses, always going to be competitive, always going to play hard. Will this be the season they are back in the AAA?
A couple newcomers to the North in Metro and RC. Metro will share Lighted with St Louis Park (ugh) and they picked some players off last year's B Champions Capital City roster, so they already have a division rival waiting for them. Metro, also one of the top offensives in the league will be a tough out this summer. The much improved Rockets also moved to the North, is this the year we see a 1-2 of Colin Warren and Zach Riedberger? That combo can immediately make the Rockets blast off along with Joe Haehn and Brent Larsen.
St Anthony is this seasons favorite for "Surprise" of the Federal League. The off season additions of Tim Duffy, Kyle Kemble to go with Dustin Gingerich, Matt Jordan and Nate Koller make a nice little lineup card. If they can get some solid innings from Jahnke and another arm steps up - the surprise will become reality. St Michael was your Class A Champs last season and closed out a great career from Dan Pluff. Shawn Motl will once again carry the load on the mound. Can Craig Matheson help out?
Capital City was your Class B Champions then everyone came and picked them apart over the winter losing a handful of players to other teams. Ouch. The Cannons did get Matt Brekke to join them and that gives them a high quality starter who can strikeout batters. You still have James Zapf and they have been active in Free Agency nailing down players who will show up and play hard for Chris Kalina, that's a good foundation for a club starting from scratch.

Who will win the Federal South?
Hastings Hurricanes: 22
Lakeville Bulldogs: 20
New Market Northerns: 14
The Grand Ole South. Full of rivalries, shoe beers and Rawlings baseballs. Hastings will once again be the favorites with a returning roster of speedsters Jordy Horsch and Nate Otto, power punches from Dan Castillo and Derrick Pfeffer and one of the deepest pitching staffs in the South. I'm guessing New Market already has the Hurricanes dates circled after last year's crazy playoff game between the two.
The offseason with Lakeville and Burnsville was interesting - I even got accosted online by reporting updates with the merger. (I was correct by the way.) But the Lobos are no more. (Told you.) and the Burnsville bulldogs moved further down 35W and became the Lakeville Bulldogs. With this merger the Bulldogs might have the best pitching depth in the league with Trent Larson, Josh Loewen merging with Don Erdall and Jamie Steinberg. Even though voters picked Hastings to win the division, the Bulldogs got more votes to win the AAA. With this group of veterans, it could be a safe bet. Sidenote, we hope Ludwig is doing well after his injury last season.
New Market had one hell of an entertaining playoff run at Alimagnet last season, every game was close and must watch baseball. The Northerns will return an offense that had ten players batting over .316, seven players batting over .400 and three batting over .500. Yikes. Good thing the Bulldogs stocked up on pitching. The big fish will give Lakeville and Hastings all they can handle and just like last year - it will be fun to watch.
Bill Dunker, according to voters, is one of the favorites to win MVP this season. The bats improved greatly from the season before for Milltown with Tony Rome, Brent Cheney and longtime Outlaw Nick Davis putting up great numbers at the plate. Rome, Davis and Dunker make up a great trio on the mound that could help the orange and black smell the burgers at Alimagnet for some AAA action come August?
Victor Aguilera Torres was one of the top hitters in the league last year for Elko, Jimmy Bohmbach and Brian Wedewer also chugged along as Elko could always put up runs. Can the pitching and defense come through? Mick Dudero threw over fifty innings last year and could be the workhorse again.
Lonsdale is always playing teams tough and keeping scores close, but seems to always hover around .500. Will the ball break more the Jokers way this summer? They have solid hitters in Thomas Hoppert, Brian Vosejpka and Mike Madison. Seems like the Jokers were searching for a true starter last season with nearly half the team hitting the mound. Will the search continue?
Veseli got busy on the Free Agent list and picked up an innings eater in Bryan Hendricks, another arm in Brandon Staresnick and Webster Sox veteran Zach Kunesh. The Vulcans still have big hitters in Eric Steinhoff and Joe McCluskey. Scott Angus was a gem for them last season winning three games, maybe with Hendricks and Staresnick, Veseli can form a pitching trio to compete in the South.
The Shamrocks need some more luck but they have one of the best ballparks in the league, and a solid offensive base with Ken Kappelmann, Tom Larsen, Tyler Giersdorf and John Vogt. St Patrick just needs some arms to keep them in games.
Northfield came on late last season, almost upsetting Lakeville, Elko and Milltown the last three games of the season. Jake Pleschourt, Jeromy Lyman and Josh Mears keep the Millers grinding at the plate but like most teams that struggle, they need pitching to produce. Alex Tava threw seven complete games and over 55 innings which won the working man's award.
TITLETOWN
Who will win the Federal Class AAA?
Saint Louis Park Snappers: 17
East Metro Mammoth: 13
Minnetonka Saints: 11
The players spoke and they must love the offseason the Snappers had, adding some big bats to their already potent lineup. The turtles fell in the AAA Lower Bracket Semifinal to the Minnetonka Saints in a slow pitch softball game last August. The Snappers backed up the U-Haul and moved again from the facilities of St Louis Park to the hitter friendly Lighted Field in New Hope. The slugging Snappers are the favorites among the league players in 2026.
The Mammoth have made the AAA Championship three times in their first five seasons, this steady bunch are a favorite once again. With little turnover you know what to expect with the brown and gold and it's winning ball games. The Minnetonka Saints have taken a page from both the Snappers and Mammoth with recruiting and remaining steady. They won the Class AA in 2023 and have moved up to the AAA the last two seasons, dropping the Lower Bracket Championship to Minnoka. Hey? Speaking of the Grays, where are they in this poll? They tied with the remixed Lakeville Bulldogs with 9 votes each. Players think three is enough for the Wolves.
Who will win the Federal Class AA?
Apple Valley A’s: 10
South Metro Saints: 10
Rockford Rail Splitters: 9
With the first season of play-in games for the Class AAA bracket, people questioned will it dilute the Class AA bracket and I personally think not, that's how talented the teams are in the Federal League recently. And to prove that point the players voted a tie between South Metro Saints and the Apple Valley A's to win the Class AA in 2026. While the Saints picked up another good arm in Jared Schmidt during the offseason, the A's remained fairly calm picking up low key veteran players and a solid bat from the IWW Wobblies in Aaron Baumgarter. Both teams will probably be battling for a AAA play-in game come July. But don't be disappointed to see Apple Valley three-peat in the Class AA either. Rockford Railsplitters finished third in voting and with star veterans like Haag, Loretz and Loomis - to mix with Fontana and Knight, Rockford will be a tough out. Tonka Bay, Saint Paul and River Falls also got significant votes to win the AA.
Who will win the Federal Class A?
Saint Anthony Norse: 11
RC Rockets: 7
Chaska Voyageurs: 6
The big additions of Tim Duffy and Kyle Kemble in the offseason have made the Norse the favorites to win the Class A according to the players vote. Duffy brings in more offense to add with Dustin Gingerich, Matt Jordan and Nate Koller. Steve Jahnke still looks like the ace of the team with four complete games last season including an almost upset over the Grays at Castle Field. Look for St Anthony to slug its way to a cup? The Norse new division foe the RC Rockets finished second in voting by always teasing us with a Warren/Riedberger tandem - they could walk away with the strikeout title in 2026 if it happens and maybe a cup to go with it? The Voyageurs won the Class A in 2023, and they have the talent to win the AA with a low key solid staff of arms in Dauwalter, Berenguer, Houselog and Chies. But will they show up? Jamie Houselog had done a great job utilizing the Free Agent board to find dedicated players to help Chaska drink Four Loko from the cup once again.
Who will win the Federal Class B?
Bloomington Biscuits: 11
Veseli Vulcans: 10
St Patrick Shamrocks: 8
The ole St Paul Senators, one of the older Federal League franchises switched cities and name sake in the offseason; moving to Bloomington, calling themselves the Biscuits and calling Red Haddox Field home, a great addition to the league as fields go. They left a lot a guys on base last season if they can find a guy to knock them in then maybe this prediction will become reality. Veseli got real active on the Free Agent wire this offseason, picking up infielder and former Webster Sox Zach Kunesh, as well as two new arms in Staresnick and Hendricks to add with Dan Denman and Scott Angus, developing a nice little staff that could go the distance in the playoffs. The five-time Class A champs St Patrick Shamrocks are predicted to battle for the B. The boys of Bonin can defiantly hit the ball and get on base, with eight players reaching double digit hits. Tom Carpentier, Dan Popple, Tom Larsen drove in the majority of runs for the Shamrocks, but they need some lucky breaks to go their way in the pitching and fielding department for this wish to come true. The Minnesota Twins also received two votes. Ouch.

AWARDS & MORE
Who will be the "surprise" team this season?
Cannon Valley Kings: 10
Saint Anthony Norse: 6
Eden Prairie Flyers: 5
Cannon Valley will literally be a surprise as they are brand new to the league. Another surprise will be the bulging eyes of ballplayers walking on to the beautiful Jack Ruhr Field in Miesviile for the first time. Another surprise could be the roster of former Red Wing Aces and Miesville Mudhens that could fill the Kings roster over the next couple years. Welcome to the Federal League. The Norse are looking to turn things around this summer with new additions and Eden Prairie knows something we don’t? The Mustangs and Waconia also received votes.

Who will have an MVP season in 2026?
Bill Dunker: 6
Tom Corcoran: 4
Five others at: 3
Bill Dunker for the Milltown Outlaws is the players favorite for MVP this season. Dunker only played in eight games last season and had only six at bats, batting .500. He started three games on the bump, going 3-0-2 with a 0.44 ERA with two complete games and two shutouts. Do we expect more playing time from Bill this season? Tom Corcoran of East Metro is picked to once again dominate the offensive charts, teammates Emery Hull and Matt Grill also got three votes to tie Cliff Christopherson of Rosemount, Brett Larsen of St Louis Park and Chris Baso of Waconia.
Who will be the hot new "rookie" in the Fed this year?
Jeff Heath: 6
Scott Davis: 3
Joe Pierce: 3
Jeff Heath from the Minnetonka Saints is predicted to win the phantom ROY award in the Federal League. Heath and Scott Davis were both teammates with the successful TCMABL Cardinals. Heath can swing the bat with the best of them and Davis could battle Brian Bushman as the happiest player in the Fed. Joe Pierce got three votes but mysteriously is not on any Federal League roster? Someone call Robert Stack and Unsolved Mysteries.
Best Manager in the Federal League?
Paul Jesh: 8
Jeff Wilson: 6
Tori Holt: 5
Paul Jesh of the Milltown Outlaws is the players favorite skipper in 2026. Milltown was expected to do big things last season, but looks like the league hasn’t given up on the Dundas bunch and look forward to the Outlaws being there at the end with Jesh holding the scorebook. Jeff Wilson also received votes for the Snappers although moving to Lighted questions his judgement and even though he retired and his team is no more, Tori Holt got five votes.

Best ballpark in the Federal League?
Bill Nelson Field - Dundas MN: 12
Lions Field - Waconia MN: 7
Chaska Athletic Park - Chaska MN: 7
Seems fitting that the site for the 2026 All Star Game/Hall of Fame Day gets the most votes by the players. You can’t beat the full experience at Memorial with PA, Music, Concessions, Fans and post gaming in the park. Even though the dugouts are a little tight, the overall baseball community in Minnesota still has much love for Dundas. The newer Lions Field in Waconia tied with old historic Chaska Athletic with seven votes each. Jack Ruhr Field in Miesville, Castle Field in Anoka, Palm Field in St Anthony, Bonin Field in St Patrick and First National Bank in River Falls rounded out the 2026 voting. I think once players get to experience Jack Ruhr that will probably shoot up the list next year. We are truly thankful that this league has such great fields to call home and away.

Worst ballpark in the Federal League?
Lighted Field - New Hope MN: 11
Greenfield Park - Mounds View MN: 7
McMurray Field - St Paul MN: 7
One year back in the league and it’s already hated more than Greenfield and Pearl. We can see why ex-League President Dan Tupper outlawed Lighted Field from the league years ago. Two years after a brand new facelift, Lighted is still pretty terrible. The field gets used more than mid 2000’s Lindsay Lohan and by July you are playing on concrete. Most evenings you are playing Game of Thrones with the angry Canadian Geese. Pitchers hate the short Centerfield distance, Outfielders hate holding up the game to retrieve yellow softballs from the rec slow pitch game beyond the fence. Right fielders hate standing in a true swamp and getting eaten alive by every flying insect known to man. Any percentage of rain and the entire field floods from the warning track to home plate. Don’t forget about the disappearing foul balls and the New Hope Police a block away waiting for that post game rolling stop after a couple of pops. Bugs, cops, yellow softballs, no thanks. Sorry to say two teams are calling Lighted home this season in the Snappers and Loons. Yuck. Break out the DEET.
Greenfield is expecting upgrades around the park this summer, let's hope for the best? And making the list for the first time, McMurray Field and it’s knee high grass on heart attack hill, good luck finding parking between the soccer games and the pet shelter. Killebrew Field, Hastings and “wherever the Mammoth are playing” also got votes. RIP King Field?
PLAYERS FEEDBACK
Ah the best part of the poll, your feedback. Some serious, some hate, some great ideas and some just….some. This season I will answer some of the feedback. Thanks for participating in the poll, it's fun for the league and a great kickoff to the new season. I broke them up into different sections, otherwise these are unedited and some of these are NSFW or for young children.

SEASON CALENDAR
“Season ends too early.”
“More standardized days for games.”
“Expand the regular season, have playoffs in September.”
“Regular season May - August, playoffs in September. No games Mother’s Day weekend, memorial weekend, 4th of July weekends”
“Extend the season like the old days.”
“Extend the season out 2-3 more weeks”
“Have a grand opening day at a nice venue with multiple games and multiple teams.”
“Have a standard opening day. Larger event”
“Move All Star Game to end of the season.”
“Make games 9 innings.” (Suggested multiple times.)
PLAYOFFS
“Get premium fields for playoffs games. Alimagnet is nice for first round games, but have premier fields for Semifinals and Championship games.”
“Have Championships back at Delano.”
“Consider Strength of Schedule for playoff seeding.”
“More games played to qualify for playoffs.”
“Rent more premier fields for playoffs; Seibert, St Thomas, CHS, Delano, etc.”
“Playoff fields and communication. We should know fields, times, etc way in advance”
“I want to send a complaint about Nick ******, I bring my kids to the playoff games and 3 years in a row now he’s had a full blown meltdown on the field and in front of families and kids at Burnsville. Cursing and acting like maniac. The league should do something about his behavior. He always apologizes but nothing changes.”
“Better contingency planning for weather during playoffs and eliminate the All Star game.”
“Pitchers should need more innings to qualify for playoffs.”
“Teams putting up fake stats needs to be checked. Everyone should use GameChanger. Teams that don't post pitching stats should not be allowed in the AAA or AA playoffs.”
“Pitchers need more innings to be eligible for playoffs.”
“Better communication with playoffs”
“More actual played games to qualify for playoffs”
“Back up plans made prior to playoff/state rainouts”
“Post Season umpires are the worst. Extend the season 3-4 weeks longer so we’re not competing with Townball for the good umps.”
“Print large championship banners for winners like they do in the MSMABA.”
“Should have 2 umps for playoffs.”
“The Friday night play in games for AAA were full blown idiotic. Like…WTF.”
“Two umpires during playoffs. Have the playoffs at better fields and have better umpires. Stop poaching players from other teams.”
“Book playoff games at fun venues like CHS, Seibert Field, Target Field.”
“If 10 teams in playoffs, the bottom 4 should be play-in à la the NBA.”
“The music at the playoff games are too loud. It disturbs the other game.”
“GO BACK TO DELANO!!!!!!!”

SUPER TEAMS AND RELEGATION
“Make it more even.”
“Stop recruiting players.”
“The recruiting of players from other federal league teams.”
“Teams that steal players from other league teams need to get reprimanded by the board. The recruiting from other teams is getting out of hand and it's hard for the small teams to compete.”
“No stacked teams, like minnoka grays. Can't use guys that play both townball and fed. Need more games to qualify or give up a run per starting player that plays townball”
(The Grays only have one active town ball player and that is way less than other teams in the Federal League.)
“Too intense of a split between top and bottom teams. Talent is all split between 6/8 teams”
“Add relegation system. Better for competition for all teams. More relaxed teams get to play more relaxed teams and the super serious teams get to play more high competition.”
“I think the super teams are out of control. The recruiting from other teams needs to stop. It's killing the league from the bottom. Some people take this league too seriously. What happened to the nights of beers in the parking lot and great camaraderie? Now you got managers stabbing each other in the back over a trophy. What's funny is that the best teams in the league (Mammoth, Grays) don't even do any of that stuff. It's the teams trying to catch them. I bet some managers even pay players. It's gotta stop. I like the website, videos and photos. I think it's great for the players. Josh and Kris do a great job but hope we can come to a mix of promoting our league without turning into a MBA light. Some guys just want to play ball and have fun after 35.”
“Poaching of players.”
“Down with Super Teams. Break them up and have a draft.”
“There seems to be too wide of a range of ability among some teams. I wonder if it would make sense to do an “upper division” and “lower division” to have more competitive games throughout the season for all teams. Upper division would qualify for AAA and AA and lower would qualify for A and B. Each year teams would be reevaluated for a division.”
“Why can’t we do a relegation system. Fucks sake”
“Calling AA/A/B bracket “champions”. Play the games, have fun, but it’s not for a trophy. Anyone playing in AAA should be publicized more than teams winning lower brackets.”
“Institute proximity rules so teams can’t recruit their way to championships.”
“Get rid of super teams. Teams should pick one league only. Expand the season.”
“I got kicked off from my former team to bring in new guys. I haven’t found a new team yet. I’ve been playing in the Federal League for 8 years and I was kicked off because I wouldn’t agree to sit the bench while ringers took my position. They didn’t even win anyway.”

DIVISIONS, RULES, STATS AND BEER
“Redo the divisions every year according to previous season record.”
“Have all teams use Gamechanger for better stats and live following.”
“Making every team actually keep stats. Every game has both home and away stats from each team to compare so teams aren’t incorrectly scoring. Making fields having more of a standard. Not playing at a rec field that has a fence at 260’. Not hiring umps who show up drunk or high and make the game about them! But also letting ejections be less strict/more fun. If you’re ejected before the 4th inning it’s just the rest of the game but score dependent (10 run rule), if it’s after the 4th it’s the game and next”
“Lakeville out of the South Division.”
“More non-divisional games on schedule.”
“Bring back the beer teams.”
“Keep the North, East and West Divisions the same for 2 years and then re-evaluate after those 2 years to determine if realignment is necessary.”
“Quit constantly restructuring divisions.”
“Make it mandatory that the best teams play each other.”
“Have managers get together postgame to ensure their books are aligned & stats are consistent.”
“Quit shaking up the divisions year. Help the league form rivalries.”
“Teams need to clean up after themselves in the parking lot. We keep getting calls from the city.”
“Have a league standard for fields, no more Little League fields.”
“Pitchers should have runners like Catchers do.”
“The shared spot needs to be limited to 2 or 3 spots. The idea of the rule is great but when it gets abused by a team using 18 guys for nine spots, it completely defeats the purpose.”
SUNDAYS
“Teams need to play baseball on Sundays.”
“Federal League teams need to stay in the Federal League. Need to do something about cancelling games because your players plays in a different league on the same night. Forfeit then.”
“Managers that have players play in different leagues like townball, tcmbl, 50 plus can’t use their players absence as an excuse not to play or book a Federal game. It's hard enough to schedule games already.”
“The 5PM league teams need to choose one league or the other. I got limited dates from the city and I'm not wasting dates to schedule around those teams. It costs more money to book our field at night with lights. I'm not going to charge my players extra so we can play unnecessary weeknight games. Not our fault. I don't want to get home at midnight on a Tuesday because they can't play on Sundays. This should have been brought up at the meeting. Needs to be fixed before next season. Teams will leave if this is not fixed.”
“Should not force teams to play on Sundays. This should be a weeknight league only.”
“All teams should play on Sundays. Bottom line.”

WTF AND ETC…
“Same ball league wide.”
"LOVE THE FED! HUG ME!"
“Fix Free Agency.”
“Some teams are using loaded hybrid bats.”
“Everyone should use Rawlings baseballs.”
“Absorb the MSMABA.”
“It’d be nice if nearly 100% of league coverage wasn’t only of the top tier teams. It gives the illusion of a clique league with a very small number of quality teams surrounded by a bunch of punching bags whereas most teams are filled with good guys who are not clique at all. I’d argue that every team has a player or two who could probably start for any other team in the league yet only a few teams get any credit. I assume that’s because those who are publishing to the league website and social media are too focused on the teams that they are closest friends with rather than branching out.”
(I covered the Cannons, Rockets, Diamonds last summer. They were not top tier teams last season. I also publish things people send me, got something? Milestone? Fun game highlights? Personal story? Send it to me. I can’t read minds and I don’t have a team of roving reporters - it’s just me. Send me content. I think Fed Up does a great job of covering everyone as well.)
“It’s a “boys club league” if you’re not BFFs with the manager, don’t expect to play even if you are a more skilled player. The hundreds I spent to play for Rockford should have counted as a tax write off under charitable donations.”
“The league is perfect!”
“This league is fart. Fuck you.”
“Teams that bring beer and Toppers to fields with concessions should be kicked out of the South.”
“The board has too much control of the league. We need to go back with all decisions being made during the managers meeting. Lakeville should be in the East and Meisville should be in the South. Cut team fees. Run background checks on playoff umpires.”
“Guys trying to fuck with other players' wives and girlfriends around the league is disgusting.”
“Don't book fields with lights that have timers on them. I'm not driving 45 minutes to a field to have it shut off at 10:00 PM because of the neighbors or city rules. Get your crap together.”
“Find a vendor and create a Federal League baseball for everyone to use.”
“Hi guys, keep doing what you do.”
Thanks everyone, good luck this season. Stay safe and have fun.
