What a season for rec sports at SAIT! We saw teams fill the soccer, volleyball, and basketball leagues to make for a season of spirited competition. Congratulations to all and special shoutout to our winners.

Soccer – Nov 3, 2025

Brexit & Hove Albion vs. Real SoSoBad (7-4). Brexit came out firing on all cylinders, putting on an offensive showcase and dropping 7 goals to secure the championship in style. Real SoSoBad battled hard, answering with 4 goals of their own and refusing to back down, but the momentum stayed with the eventual champs. It was an exciting, high-energy match that wrapped up an awesome season on the pitch!

Basketball – Nov 24, 2025

WeAreTrying vs. Sharks Tank (63 - 49). The court was buzzing as WeAreTrying delivered a powerhouse performance, lighting it up for 63 points and pushing past Sharks Tank with 49 to claim the title. From fast breaks to deep shots, the game had no shortage of highlight moments and big-time plays.
Flex Offenders vs. Businizzzz (69 - 54). The third-place matchup kept the intensity rolling. Flex Offenders came out blazing, dropping 69 points and pulling ahead of Businizzzz who finished with 54 in a fast-paced, high-scoring battle. Both teams brought heart, hustle, and serious energy, making it an exciting finish to an electric night of hoops!

Volleyball - Dec 2, 2025

Drop in Crew vs. Megahertz (2 - 0). The Drop in Crew put on a show and captured the Intramural Volleyball Championship in dominant fashion, winning in straight sets to overcome a very competitive Megahertz team. Drop in Crew had a dominant regular season, boasting an incredible 8 - 1 record and capturing the 1st place seed. The Megahertz, a team of Diagnostic Medical Sonography students in their second year of study, put in their best effort in their first ever championship final appearance, after almost 2 years of competition in the league. Congratulations to the Drop in Crew and best of luck to the Sonography students as they move on to their practicum placements!

Huge shoutout to every team that hit the pitch and the court this season! Whether you were scoring highlight-reel goals, draining threes, or just out there having a good time with friends, you brought the energy and made our intramurals unforgettable. Thanks for the sportsmanship, the laughs, the hustle, and the memories. We can’t wait to see everyone back out there next season for some more fun!
