COED FLAG WILL LOOK A BIT DIFFERENT IN 2025

We are excited to announce that the BC Adult Flag Football League is transitioning from the coed 7v7 format to a coed 5v5 format, effective immediately. This change has been made primarily for operational reasons and comes with several significant benefits for our teams and players.

Under the new format, coed teams will have the opportunity to play up to 14 regular-season games—more than double the previous six-game schedule—while maintaining the same registration cost. This expanded game schedule enhances the overall experience by increasing playing time, fostering greater competition, and creating more opportunities for teams to develop throughout the season. There will also be a coed 5v5 provincial championship, sanctioned by the BCPFA.

Additionally, the 5v5 format allows the league to operate more efficiently by optimizing scheduling, field usage, and game management. These improvements will enable us to grow and expand, welcoming more teams and ensuring a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

We look forward to seeing our teams thrive in this new format and appreciate the continued support from our players, coaches, and fans. Let’s make this season one to remember!

There will be a Zoom information meeting on Monday January 6th, 2025. Any questions you may have can be answered there.
