Our 5 teams headed onto Páirc Peile Inis Oírr for a full day of softball on Saturday.

The Round Robin kept things moving all morning, with plenty of close games, big innings and some great battles between the teams. By the afternoon, it was time for the knockouts, with the Jammie Dodgers taking on the Pink Ladies and Blues Clues taking on the Purple Cobras for their places in the final. After a full day of softball, it was Jammie Dodgers v Blues Clues in the Blitz final.

And somehow, the weather managed to hold out for the whole thing. We had one very dark grey cloud that looked like it was about to ruin the day, but it passed us by and the sun came back out. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the island.

13 games later, the Blitz came to a close with the Jammie Dodgers winning the Wild Isle Cup 2026.
