What an epic weekend of softball at Farnham Park, battling sweltering heat all the way through. The sun felt like a burning inferno in the sky, and our performance matched it both offensively and defensively.

The team delivered an outstanding display, finishing with a 7–0 weekend record, which cemented our place at the top of Group A with an 11–3 overall record.

Saturday brought five games in the intense heat, starting with a strong victory over the Jersey Field of Beans. This was followed by impressive wins against Tempest II, the Asteroids, and the Blitz Hellcats. We ended the day with another solid performance against the Manchester Dodgers.

On Sunday, we continued our momentum with group-stage wins over the Manchester Mavericks and Bracknell. In the playoffs, we battled through a dramatic semi-final, winning in extra innings against the Bees, but ran out of steam in the final against Tempest II.

Across the weekend, the team played outstanding softball. Much like the weather, the bats stayed hot throughout. We’ve clearly stepped up a gear since Weekend 1—at this rate, who knows what Weekend 3 will bring.
