Frequently Asked Questions

When is registration?
Early bird registration starts February 1st and will run through May 31st. Open registration runs from June 1st through July 31st.  Waitlist registration runs  from August 1st through August 15th. Teams are filled first-come first-serve, so early registration is recommended to reserve your child’s roster spot.

How much does it cost to register my child?
Registration costs are still being determined for the 2025 season.

Is there a payment plan offered?
Yes. We offer payment plans which require a down payment of only $40 for each child. You can select the best option for you during the checkout process of our online registration.

How often are practices?
For Tackle, practices are scheduled 5 nights a week, Monday through Friday from 6:00 8:00 PM (10 hrs. max) The intention is to move practice to Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays once school starts. However, per AYF Guidelines, we can extend practices to five days a week until after Labor Day in the event of inclement weather to ensure all players meet their ten hours of required conditioning hours.

NOTE: 6U flag football & cheer practice times are from 6:00 7:30 PM two days a week, plus Saturday games. Coaches may elect to shorten the time and number of days depending on team needs.
Coaches may also elect to add extra practices or lengthen practice times during cheer competition season. Participating in cheer comps will be completely optional based upon each individual families needs. Your child will still receive the same coaching and attention if they chose to not participate in the competitions.
Official practice start date is being determined for the 2025 season, but it is typically the third week of July. American Youth Football (AYF) mandates that ALL participants MUST satisfy 10 hours of conditioning (no contact for football and no stunting or tumbling for cheer), practice and 10 hours of contact/stunting prior to participating in any league game. Required practice time will be met by all registered players and monitored by the league, even if games must be missed. Please remember there is a  heavy emphasis on practice and the repetitive teaching of important skills and safe techniques.

Participants who have registered for the 2025 season have the option to attend free summer conditioning workouts starting the 1st week of June. Participation is voluntary.

Where will practices be held?
We have experienced explosive growth in the two years, so much so that we are in the process of securing a second practice field location. More details will be released soon!

Where will games be played?
Unfortunately, due to hurricane damage and land being sold, we will no longer use the PAL Field location. We are in the process of securing local fields in Lakewood Ranch to host home games. More details will be released soon!

How long does season last?
The final regular season games are usually played last week in October. Post season playoffs or bowl games may extend the length of your child's season. Both cheer and football teams that advance in Regionals and/or AYF National football playoffs or cheer competitions can extend their seasons into early December.

What is my child's scholastic obligation?
Scholastic responsibility is one of the most important components of our program. Your child must turn in a report card for the entire school year that has an overall grade point average of 2.0. Scholastic Waivers are available for those participants who do not meet the scholastic eligibility standards. Participants who cheer or play under a scholastic waiver must abide by the specific criteria required by AYF.

Do parents need to volunteer?
The answer is YES! We are a 100% volunteer run organization, parents are needed as volunteers for league and/or team activities for the duration of their team’s season, which includes playoffs and bowl games. Parents are also encouraged to assist during game day (chain gang, concession stand, and other team specific duties).

How much do coaches and board members get paid?
We are 100% volunteer run. Coaches and board members receive no compensation, in fact they pay the same registration fees for their children to participate as everyone else.

Refund Policy

The Lakewood Ranch Titans football and cheerleading team operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We keep registration cost as low as possible while still offering an excellent experience for players. Prior to the season, we use playerregistration fees to fund our operating budget which includes uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, and league fees, among other annual expenses.

We understand that plans may change. However, due to operational costs associated with the costs mentioned above, a $50 non-refundable fee will be kept per participant.  Participants that decide not to complete the season have until 6pm of the Friday night preceding Jamboree to formally request a refund. Jamboree dates will be released at the beginning of the season.

A refund request must be made in writing via email to the Commissioner (addresses located under about us tab).

Become a Sponsor

Our program is a non-profit 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization. We are run by volunteers from the eastern Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch area. As the league continues to grow, costs associated with providing a quality program follow a similar trend. The sponsorship program serves as a medium for local businesses to connect with our families and aid in financing the required resources associated with maintaining the league (i.e. equipment, fields, advertising costs, etc.).

Our 2024 sponsorship program provides opportunities for local businesses to advertise within the league for the upcoming seasons.  Sponsorship opportunities include social media posts, branding on game jerseys, inclusion on the Lakewood Ranch Titans website, and more (depending on sponsorship type). Email us today for more details on how to support you the Titans football and cheer program.
