Marshall “Coach Eddie” is a retired disabled veteran of the United States Army. Originally hailing from Port Arthur TX.  Eddie’s journey has been forged by a lifetime of service and humble beginnings.  Beginning as a youth, there were several mentors who influenced his life, providing Eddie valuable male role models to look up to. As for basketball, Eddie’s always maintained a passion for the sport as a competitor and coaching and training hundreds of youth and young adult student-athletes, which is where the iBall Big Brother Foundation merges both passions. During his playing career, Eddie played at the Regionalliga level in Germany. He would continue his playing career for several military Base teams in Germany, South Korea, Fort Hood, Fort Huachuca and Fort Sam Houston competing against local collegiate-level competition.  Eddie found his passion for coaching during his return to Germany where, he returned to coach his old local team and recruit several Americans resulting in multiple regional club titles. With over 30 years dedicated to the game, Eddie has trained and mentored dozens of student-athletes to play college basketball with several embarking on professional careers overseas. The primary example of his impact can be seen in both the academic and athletic success his two sons Marshall Jr. and Maurice.
