Game rules: We will use CIF rules plus a ten second back court violation for all boys ONLY. 12u (6th Grade) Boys and older will use 29.5 regulation men’s basketball. 2nd (8u) Grade -5th (11u) Grade Boys & All girls games will use 28.5 regulation basketball. Teams will shoot two (2) shots at ten (10) team fouls. Scoreboard/Score Table score on paper is final.
2-18 min running clock halves– Clock stops ONLY in last 2min of the second half on all free throws & dead ball situations. However, if a team is up by 15 or more points in the second half the clock runs until the lead is less than 10 points. The last 2 min if the game is under 10 points, we will shoot all free throws and play a regulation game.
Overtime – An overtime period will consist of one (1) minute of play with the clock stopping on all dead balls and free-throws. The 2nd over time is SUNDDEN DEATH and the first team to score wins.
Free-Throws: Showcase rules – 1 shot to earn 2 or 3 points depending on the foul…. Automatic point for an And-1.
Team Fouls: 1 for 2 at 10 fouls – Bonus in the first half and if a team is up by 15 points.
Timeouts – Each team will have three (3) timeouts per game. Each timeout will be 30 seconds. One (1) additional time out will be granted per overtime period. Time outs DO NOT carry over into overtime.
Warmups and half time or 3 minutes may be limited due to time restraints.
Playing on more than one team - Players are allowed to play on two teams if they are in different divisions. High School Elite players cannot play on two teams. The opposing coach must protest at the start of the game. (Exceptions to these rules may be allowed if arranged in advance with the tournament director)
Challenges – Challenges must be done before the game starts and cost $50.00, but if you (the challenger) are correct, the team challenged will be disqualified from the tournament and you will receive your $50.00 back. Once the challenge has been made, the proof of burden is on the challenged coach. If the challenged coach shows proof a school photo ID Report cards, medical card, or birth certificates, we will reward the challenged coach by giving him the $50.00. Directors will do random checks also at no charge.
Code of Conduct – All coaches are responsible for the behavior of their team, parents, and all bench personnel. There will be only one (1) coach allowed to stand on the sideline. Conduct of players and coaches should be above reproach both on and off the court. Any misbehavior or misconduct, on or off the court, will be subject to individual and/or team disqualification from the tournament or shoot-out.
2-3 Tournament directors on Site…. All protest will be heard by the Tournament Director(s) Prior to the Game Starting. All decisions made by the director are final.

An athlete can be no older than 7 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2019)
8 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 8 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2018)
9 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 9 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2017)
10 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2016)
11 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2015)
12 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2014)
13 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2013)
14 & Under
An athlete can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2025. (Born on or after September 1, 2012)
GRADE BASED COMPETITION RULES
2nd Grade
An athlete must be in the 2nd grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2026.
3rd Grade
An athlete must be in the 3rd grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2026.
4th Grade
An athlete must be in the 4th grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2026.
5th Grade
An athlete must be in the 5th grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2026.
6th Grade
An athlete must be in the 6th grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2026.
7th Grade
An athlete must be in the 7th grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2026
8th Grade
An athlete must be in the 8th grade or below as of September 1, 2025, and can be no older than 16 on or before August 31, 2026.
