Volunteer & Bond Cheque Process for 2025-26
Excel Athletika Volunteer Policy
1. Excel Athletika athletes are required to provide a $500.00 volunteer bond cheque to the club prior to starting the track and field
season.
2. Excel Athletika athletes are required to provide one volunteer at a minimum of two meets per track and field season.
3. Athletes will be assigned meets to volunteer at by the Excel Athletika volunteer coordinator. The athlete is responsible for filling the
volunteer position they are assigned.
4. The Excel Athletika volunteer coordinator will provide athletes a minimum of 6 weeks notice of their volunteer assignment.
5. Athletes who do not fulfill the volunteer requirements set out above (1-3) during a track and field season will not be prioritized to
register for the following track and field season and will have their $500.00 volunteer bond cheque cashed.
6. Athletes who register with Excel Athletika post January 1st of that track and field season will be required to volunteer at one meet
hosted by Excel Athletika.
7. Athletes who volunteer as coaches, or have family members volunteering as coaches are deemed to have met the requirements
set out in paragraphs 1 and 2. above.
8. Athletes who have family member(s) volunteering as officials at 2 or more meets hosted by Excel Athletika during the track and
field season are deemed to have met the requirements set out in paragraphs 1 and 2 above.
9. For the purpose of this policy, the track and field season is defined as: September to July of the following year.
ANNUAL
1st Athlete
= Annual $500.00 & 20 hours of volunteer work
2nd Athlete
= Annual $250.00 & 10 hours of volunteer work
SESSIONS
Fall (1 meet)
Per Athlete = $200.00 & 5 hours of volunteer work
Please obtain a cheque from your bank if you do not have one.
