Cardiff Softball Open Day

Cardiff Softball's annual open day will this year be at Llandaff Fields near Cafe Castan.  Register your interest by using the contact us form, or dropping us a message on any of our socials.  The day is free to attend, and we will have coaches and equipment on hand to teach you the basics of your new favourite sport.  If you like it (and we're sure you will) we will find you a team to join for the season.

The BASU Umpire course concludes with a practical day at Llandaff fields, and we need volunteers from across the league to take part in a friendly game so our new umpires can put their skills into practice.

Cardiff Firstball

Cardiff Softball's Firstball Tournament is returning in 2025, once again at Cardiff Harlequins Rugby Club.  The tournament will be an eight-team single-grade event with priority given to teams registered to the Cardiff Softball League.

'Diffodil aims to provide a tournament bridging the sadly ever-diminishing gap between newbie tournaments and higher grade tournaments. With two divisions, D-grade and C-grade, 'Diffodil is proud of its reputation as one of the funnest, most relaxed, and enjoyable tournies on the scene, and the perfect place for people to develop skills and try something new.

There will be no camping this year.

Breakfast and dinner options, and bar open all day.

New for 2025 is Cardiff Lastball - a 16 team, single grade tournament.  Teams are placed into 2 groups of 8, cometing for standings before being placed into 4 different competitions.
