NOTE: Effective April 1, 2026, Hockey Canada is introducing The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture, a national education and training initiative designed to support all participants and promote a positive, respectful environment within the game. The Shift Forward program replaces the Respect in Sport (RIS) program. The Respect in Sport (RIS) program will continue to be recognized through the end of the 2027–28 season or until your RIS certificate expires.

Flames Even Strength Program (FESP)

Hockey Canada Assist Fund
The Hockey Canada Foundation has launched its new Assist Fund to provide registration fee subsidies of $500.00 for qualified players with Hockey Canada sanctioned associations. For more information about the Hockey Canada Assist Fund, or to apply or donate, visit HockeyCanada.ca/AssistFund.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program
Jumpstart Charities helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities. You may access the form for the program at https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/about
CBHA Financial assistance is available to families who qualify for assistance through the Flames Even Strength/Kidsport (FESP) program. Parents are required to submit an application directly to FESP, and if approved, contact the CBHA VP Finance who will advise next steps.
