2026 rules and rain policy

Rules of Play

• Both teams must bring bases and a mat when scheduled outside the CAA Centre. 
• Home team is decided by the team on the left side of the schedule. Both teams must bring bases and a mat or double default.
• 5 Courtesy runners for every game. guy for guy or girl for girl or guy.
• Unlimited courtesy runners for any player 55 years or older. (honor system please) and don't abuse this rule. Please make sure the player is 55 yrs or older
• Unlimited courtesy runner for Jeff Craber (Fri Mens). Last out.
• If pitcher is wearing shin guards and/or mask then auto courtesy if 2 outs
• Home Run Rule is match plus 3 for all divisions. 
• If Home Run Rule is achieved then auto out no matter what the count is
• All divisions will have a 6 run per inning mercy and last inning is open
  Flip Flop Rule - Finish 6 innings. If visiting team is winning by 6 runs or more then the home team stays up to bat.  If team goes ahead then other team has chance to come back.
• Mercy Rule is 12 runs after 5 innings or 15 runs after 4 innings.
  * May start with 7 players. Extra players arriving after start of game must be added to the bottom of the order anytime.
• All Double Headers are no new inning after 60 minutes - 65 min games
  All single games are no new inning after 70 minutes - 75 min games
• All batters start with a one and one count except for 3 Pitch
• No drinking of alcohol whatsoever during game play. Both player and coach will be ejected one plus one
• Any ejection during game play will result in a one plus one game ejection.
• Smoking, Vaping and Marijuana use is stricly prohibted from the diamonds and must be 25 feet away from the fence.
• Tagging allowed between safe and commitment line
• No metal spikes allowed but plastic is ok
• Any player may be allowed to be added at any time to the bottom of the order
• If committment line is touched then player must go towards home
• 10 minute grace period in affect but reduces time of game
• USSSA with thumbprint is only bats to be used
• No digging in batters box
• All players with 25% or more games are allowed to participate in the playoffs
• Please make sure your team keeps the scorebooks just in case we have issues at the end of the year for playoff contention
  * All players must be in uniform top matching the same colour with a least a 4 inch number or an out will occur at your first at bat of the night.

3 Pitch Rules:

• 10th player and all infield players must be in line with the base paths until the ball is hit.
• Pitching distance must be at a minimum of 40 feet from home plate
• No new inning after 70 minutes

Coed Rules:

• All infield players must be in line with the base paths until the ball is hit.
• All outfield players must be 150 feet from home plate. I encourage the team reps to bring two small pylons for your games so there woun't be any issues.
• Batting order is no more then 3 male batters in a row
• If less then 10, auto out for female only
• May have more then 3 girls on the field
• Batting order must be consistent
• Coed Single - no new inning after 70 minutes
• No force out throws from the outfield to 1st base.

**Important Update: Defaulted Doubleheader or Single Games**

Hey team!

We want to remind everyone about our policy regarding defaulted doubleheader or single games. If a team defaults on a scheduled game, a fee of $50.00 is due before your next scheduled game. This fee helps support the opposing team, ensuring they are compensated for their time and effort. The funds collected will be paid out to the other team next season.
