Our Club story:

Bord-Aire has been serving the community in one form or another for over 100 years. It was founded when Border Community Club (est. 1916) and Airways Community Centre (est. 1951) amalgamated in 1975.

The executive board pitched many names including Paramor, Brittania, and Border-Airways before settling on Bord-Air. The mysterious E was added to give the name balance: four letters on each side.

After the merger, volunteers worked hard to organize an expansion that was completed in 1979.

Our soccer story:

Soccer has always been a part of Bord-Aire CC's long history. Sadly due to a lack of volunteers 2012 was the last season that Bord-Aire hosted a team in the WYSA league.

However like a phoenix rising from the ashes, these wings would take flight again in 2021. Bord-Aire CC stepped up when other community centres refused to comply with Canada Soccer's QSP standards and now stands as a leader in not only the St. Charles Soccer Association, but the city of Winnipeg as well. Bord-Aire CC soccer continues to grow as we fielded 11 teams in 2022. Making Bord-Aire one of the larger clubs in the Winnipeg soccer community.

Thanks to the dedication of the Bord-Aire CC Sports Director Todd Povey, and a supportive board of directors. Bord-Aire CC has helped fill a huge void within the SCSA soccer community. We currently service players from surrounding communities such as Robert A. Steen, Valour Road and Deer Lodge. Providing an inclusive, diverse and fun place for kids to play the beautiful game.
