- Vern Way
Vern Way was quite the icon in the City of Beacon. Many don't know he built what is now the V.R. Way football field and and field house from the ground up.
A local community man who was able to seek friends, family, coworkers, local unions, businesses and organizations to all contribute in any way they could. His hard work and dedication were like no other.
It meant more to him that the kids in our community had a place to come, feel safe, secure and supported while they played the game of football. The football program in Beacon was truly his passion and we want nothing more than to honor him and his endeavors while bringing back the sport to our community kids.
That's what we strive for here at Beacon Youth Football. We want all our community kids to learn the game and have just a plain ol' blast doing so!
We're back and adding new Bulldog Pups to our growing program! We're gearing up for our next season and bringing on new and bigger things. We're so excited to say we have grown our teams this season. We have an 8U, 11U and 12U bulldogs ready to tackle the field head on. The kids have been putting in the work and we couldn't be more proud. We strive to create an inclusive environment for all those who want to challenge themselves in the sport. We have our USA Football certified coaches out there every night with our dogs and they are making huge progress.
Our first set of games are gearing up to start on September 7th and it also being a home field game! So who's ready for some football action? We love to keep the idea of community and asking anyone who wants to come support our dogs. We will have concessions open as well! Come for our season opener!
