GENERAL SEASON INFORMATION

Welcome to the 2026 spring season!
For those that are new to the BCAFFL, this is some general information to keep you informed and help you prepare. For those returning, this is a simple reminder.

TEAM REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MARCH 1ST

PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE THEIR FIRST GAME
PLAYER REGISTRATION CUT OFF: APRIL 12TH

Our season kicks off March 22nd, 2026.  We do not play on long weekends. 

Game times by division:
WOMEN'S & MASTERS: 9:00AM & 9:55AM
COED 10:50AM & 11:45AM
MEN'S ELITE: 12:40PM & 1:35PM
MEN'S REC: 2:30PM - 3:25PM - 4:20PM

GAME DATES AND LOCATIONS:
  • MARCH 22 - WEEK 1 @ CLOVERDALE ATHLETIC PARK (FIELD 1 & 2)
  • MARCH 29 - WEEK 2 @ SOUTH SURREY ATHLETIC PARK (FIELD 8 & 9)
  • APRIL 5 - NO GAMES - EASTER WEEKEND
  • APRIL 12 - WEEK 3 @ JOHN OLIVER PARK (NORTH DELTA) ROSTER FREEZE
  • APRIL 19 - WEEK 4 @ MCLEOD ATHLETIC (STADIUM AND GRASS)
  • APRIL 26 - WEEK 5 @ JOHN OLIVER PARK (NORTH DELTA)
  • MAY 3 - WEEK 6 @ JOHN OLIVER PARK (NORTH DELTA) FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAMES
  • MAY 10 - PLAYOFFS @ JOHN OLIVER PARK (NORTH DELTA)
  • MAY 16 - 17 MAYBOWL - KELOWNA
  • MAY 24 - PLAYOFF FINALS @ JOHN OLIVER PARK (NORTH DELTA) 

*Required Equipment: Cleats, shorts or pants without pockets, flags, mouthguard, jersey. 

Flag belts with flags are available at the field for $10. (cash or card)
Breast Cancer flag sets available for $15 (cash or card)
Mouthguards are available at the field for $5. (cash or card)

*REMINDER FOR ALL TEAMS* There will NOT be any score changes after the day has concluded at the field. Please check the final score of your game with the officials and league staff at the end of each game. 

*If your team can not attend one or more games on any given week, you MUST send a notification email to info@bcaffl.ca no less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled day. Failure to provide this notification wil subject your team to a fine of $100.

2026 Rules Update
We are excited to announce that the BCAFFL has officially made the switch to using IFAF rules. This transition will bring consistency and alignment with international standards, making our league more competitive and inclusive. We look forward to seeing our players and teams thrive under these new rules. Thank you for your continued support as we strive for excellence in flag football.
