The Back Porch Sand Volleyball League is looking for referees for the upcoming season!

You will be paid PER game this year! You also receive 25% off food on nights you WORK.

Ideal candidates:

• Have High-School Volleyball Experience
• Have Knowledge of the Game/Rules
• Have Reliable Transportation

Our season runs April 27th through October. Monday through Friday evenings. Game times are Mon-Thurs: 6:30, 7:30 & 8:30, and Friday: 6:30 & 7:30. Shifts begin at 6PM and end at 10PM or earlier. 

You will be assigned to one of four courts during your shift. You can choose your shifts in advance and simply not add yourself to the schedule if you're traveling or unavailable. Work as much or as little as you'd like. There will be a paid and mandatory ref meeting before games start to review the rules.

Here's a summary of the position:

Before Games:

• Check In
• Remove Debris and Rake Courts
• Check Nets
• Turn On & Test Score Boards

During Games:

• Call In/Out
• Call Lifts/Double Hits
• Call Serving Violations (Stepping on or over the line)
• Call Net Violations (Above, In & Below)
• Be Assertive to Groups of Adults 

After Games:

• Turn In Scores & Whistles
• Pick Up Trash
• Check Out
