The Back Porch Sand Volleyball League is looking for referees for the upcoming season!

Hourly pay is $13. Paychecks will be available every Monday for the week prior. You can also get a meal during your shift for 50% off. 

Ideal candidates:

• Have High-School Volleyball Experience
• Have Knowledge of the Game/Rules
• Have Reliable Transportation

Our season runs April 24th through September on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Game times are 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30. Shifts begin at 6PM and end at 10PM or earlier. 

You will be assigned to one of four courts during your shift. You can choose your shifts in advance and simply not add yourself to the schedule if you're traveling or unavailable. Work as much or as little as you'd like. There will be a paid and mandatory ref meeting before games start to review the rules. Click here to check them out on our new website!

Here's a summary of the position:

Before Games:

• Check In
• Help Stock Bar
• Remove Debris from Courts
• Check Nets
• Turn On & Test Score Boards

During Games:

• Call In/Out
• Call Lifts/Double Hits
• Call Serving Violations (Stepping on or over the line)
• Call Net Violations (Above, In & Below)
• Be Assertive to Groups of Adults 

After Games:

• Turn In Scores & Whistles
• Pick Up Trash
• Check Out
