Do I have to be a mom to join Arizona Moms Softball Club?
Contrary to the name of the league, having children is not a requirement to join. It is, however, required of every player to have a family first mentality. It’s required to have an understanding that MANY of the members of this league do have kids, and families, and each player’s behavior and attitude is to reflect that.

What are the requirements to register for a team with AZMSC?

Player must be 25+ with a few exceptions

Skill
AZMSC is a community of players of all skill levels. We encourage all players to join and do not have any minimum skill requirement.
For the safety, integrity, and vision of this league, there are specific eligibility requirements for players who have competed at a college level, D1, D2, or D3.

At this time, WPSL or NPF players are not permitted to join AZMSC

What is the cost of registration?
Registration fees for the Fall ‘23 Season are $225
Late registration fees for the Fall ‘23 Season are $250

What is included with registration fees?
A custom, button up jersey with your last name and one of your preferred numbers.
A team designed, embroidered visor.
Field rentals, umpire fees, game softballs, and a few other league supplied equipment items.
A fun time, playing a sport you love.

How long is the season?
The Fall ‘23 Season will start September 1, 2023 and conclude December 16, 2023.
Each team will play one game per week for twelve weeks.

What is the duration of each game?
To accommodate for field rental timing, and uniformity of game play throughout the league, AZMSC operates on a “game clock” instead of a normal 9-inning game outline.
Each game has a guaranteed two hours of gameplay, with a 20 minute buffer at the end to finish any inning that may still be in play.

Can I register an entire team?
AZMSC does not allow for full team registration, however, we do allow teams to recruit up to 10 players for their team. If you have ten players you want to play on a team with, each player will need to register individually and place the name of the “captain”, or the person facilitating the team, into the correct place on registration. If this step is missed or done incorrectly, there is no guarantee you will be placed on the correct team.

What if I can’t commit to the season, but still want to play?
AZMSC has a Free Agent option for players who cannot commit to the season.
When a free agent plays for the first time for an AZMSC team, they will be required to sign all applicable waivers and forms. This will be kept on file for the duration of the season, so they will only need to sign once through the link provided to them by the captain of the team.
Before a free agent can join a game, a $20 fee will need to be collected. This fee is good for the entire weekend. If a free agent is available for 3 games in one weekend, only one $20 fee is to be collected.

Are there playoffs and/or a championship game?
Yes! For the Fall ‘23 Season, AZMSC will have 1 weekend of playoffs and 1 weekend dedicated to the championship game. These games will be 3 hours long or 9 innings, whichever happens first, and will be played Saturday morning from 9am to 12pm.

What happens if I register to play, but something comes up and I can’t continue? Will I receive a refund?
Unfortunately, because funds are allocated as soon as they come in, there are no refunds. Registration fees cover uniforms, field rentals, league insurance, umpire fees, and softballs right off the bat. There are extenuating circumstances in which a refund can and will be given, but it is a case by case basis, and not guaranteed.
