Do I have to be a dad to join Arizona Dads Baseball Club?
Contrary to the name of the league, having children is not a requirement to join. It is, however, required of every player to have a family first mentality. It’s required to have an understanding that MANY of the members of this league do have kids, and families, and each player’s behavior and attitude is to reflect that.

When are games played?
Friday Nights, Saturdays, Sundays and week nights.
AZDBC is subject to city field availability, so we cannot guarantee times and days, but strive for weekends as priority.

Where are games played?
Games are played throughout the Arizona East Valley.
We primarily play at city parks located in Gilbert and Chandler.

What is the duration of each game?
To accommodate for field rental timing, and uniformity of game play throughout the league, AZDBC operates on a “game clock” or seven (7) innings, whichever happens first.

Can I register an entire team?
For the Fall ‘24 season, AZDBC is allowing up to four (4) additional full teams to register. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. Each team will only be allowed to sign up a maximum of ten (10) players. An email will need to be sent to azdadsbaseball@gmail.com before players start registering.
Note to current players: we will not remove players already on your team from the previous season to make room for recruited players on your team.

What happens if I miss registration?
If you miss registration, you can opt to sign up for the waitlist. If a registered full time player can no longer play for any reason, a player from the waitlist will be notified they are needed. First come, first served will apply when choosing a waitlisted player. If the waitlisted player decides they would like to register, they will then be sent a registration link to pay a prorated registration fee. This fee will need to be paid within 48 hours, otherwise AZDBC will move on to the next waitlisted player.
Starting waitlist registration fees are $175 since a jersey and hat will not be ordered.

What if I can’t commit to the season, but still want to play?
AZDBC has a Free Agent option for players who cannot commit to the season.
When a free agent plays for the first time for an AZDBC team, they will be required to sign all applicable waivers and forms. This will be kept on file for the duration of the season, so they will only need to sign once through the link provided to them by the captain of the team they are filling in for.
There is more information on how a FA is acquired in the rule book, so please look there for further questions.

Are there playoffs and/or a championship game?
Yes! For the Fall ‘24 Season, AZDBC will have 2 weekends of playoffs and 1 weekend dedicated to the championship game. These games will be 3 hours long or 9 innings, whichever happens first, and will be played Saturday nights from 6pm to 9pm.
*Subject to change based on field rental availability*

What happens if I register to play, but something comes up and I can’t continue? Will I receive a refund?
A refund may be received if a waitlisted player decides to take your spot on the team. The refund will be the prorated amount the waitlisted player paid due to the player not receiving a jersey or a hat.
