Do I have to be a dad to join Arizona Dads Baseball Club?
Contrary to the name of the league, having children is not a requirement to join. It is, however, required of every player to have a family first mentality. It’s required to have an understanding that MANY of the members of this league do have kids, and families, and each player’s behavior and attitude is to reflect that.

What are the requirements to register for a team with AZDBC?
Age:
Player must be 25+ with a few exceptions

Skill 
AZDBC is a community of players of all skill levels. We encourage all players to join and do not have any minimum skill requirement.
For the safety, integrity, and vision of this league, there are specific eligibility requirements for players who have competed at any post highschool level.

At this time, active roster Minor League or MLB Affiliated players are prohibited from playing on any AZDBC team for any reason, including as a Free Agent.

What is the cost of registration?
Team registration fees are currently $3,800. There is a early registration discount of $200. There is a late registration fee of $300.
Free agent registration fees are currently $100.

How long is the season?
There are two season options for AZDBC:
The spring season usually runs from February to May.
The Fall Season usually runs from Labor Day weekend until the weekend before Christmas.
Each team will play one game per week for 12 week

All teams have the opportunity to participate in a 3 week playoff tournament in their division

When are games played?
Saturdays and Sundays.
Make-up games will be scheduled as necessary due to unforseen circumstances and/or weather. We cannot guarantee times and days, but strive for weekends as priority.

Where are games played?
Games are played throughout the Arizona East Valley.
We primarily play at city parks located in Gilbert and Chandler.

What is the duration of each game?
To accommodate for field rental timing, and uniformity of game play throughout the league, The following formats will be applied:

Regular season: 2 hour no new inning, 2:32 drop dead OR 7 innings, whichever occurs first.

Tournament: 3 hour no new inning, 3:20 drop dead OR 9 innings, whichever occurs first.

Can I register an entire team?
New to for the Spring 2025 season, you can register an entire team. There is no maximum or mininum amount of players allowed on your roster. If you are not rostered on a team, please complete the non-rostered registration and we will send your information to the team captains. If you are a fit for the teams needs, the team captains will reach out to you directly. If you are not currently rostered on a team and would like to create a team, please contact AZDBC administration at arizonaDBC@gmail.com.
Note to current players: Please reach out to your team captain to discuss roster related inquires. AZDBC is no longer handling roster requests, inquiries, or disputes.

What happens if I miss registration?
If you miss registration, you can opt to sign up as an unrostered player or as a free agent. A list of unrostered player will be distributed to team captains prior to the start of the season. Team captains will reach out to players on the list directly if there is a need for players on their roster. If an unrostered player is pickup by the team, the team captain will discuss any fees the player will need to pay to be part of the team. The league does not collect payment from unrostered players.

What if I can’t commit to the season, but still want to play?
AZDBC has a Free Agent option for players who cannot commit to the season. 
When a free agent plays for the first time for an AZDBC team, they will be required to sign all applicable waivers and forms. This will be kept on file for the duration of the season, so they will only need to sign once through the link provided to them by the captain of the team they are filling in for.

Are there playoffs and/or a championship game?
Yes! For the Spring 2025 Season, each division will participate in its own playoff tournament. AZDBC will have 2 weekends of playoffs and 1 weekend dedicated to the championship game. These games will be 3 hours long or 9 innings, whichever happens first, and will be played Saturday nights from 6pm to 9pm.

What happens if I register to play, but something comes up and I can’t continue? Will I receive a refund?
Any requsets for refunds for rostered players should be directed to your team captains. Refunds will NOT be offered for free agent registration.
