HUGE Tiger Pride! Three Anson athletes are heading to State!
Powerlifting State Qualifiers
- Amia Jaramillo (Girls 220 lb class)
- Alex Garza (Boys 220 lb class)
- Alijah Lozano (Boys 220 lb class)
Amia Jaramillo Spotlight - Amia Jaramillo represented the Lady Tigers at the THSWPA Girls State Powerlifting Championships in Edinburg, Texas (March 18th, 2026)! She earned her spot after an outstanding 2nd-place finish at Regionals with a total of 875 lbs:
- Squat: 345 lbs
- Bench Press: 195 lbs
- Deadlift: 335 lbs
State Results Update:
Amia hit a personal best Squat of 350 lbs (+5 lbs from Regionals) and represented Anson with pride on the big stage.
Huge congratulations to Amia for making it all the way to State!

Alex Garza Spotlight - Alex Garza qualified for the THSPA Boys State Powerlifting Championships after a strong 3rd-place finish at Regionals with a total of 1495 lbs:
- Squat: 555 lbs
- Bench Press: 450 lbs
- Deadlift: 490 lbs
Alijah Lozano Spotlight - Alijah Lozano qualified for the THSPA Boys State Powerlifting Championships after a solid 4th-place finish at Regionals with a total of 1450 lbs:
- Squat: 505 lbs
- Bench Press: 415 lbs
- Deadlift: 530 lbs
The Boys State meet is March 27–28 in Abilene.
HUGE Tiger Pride! Alex Garza and Alijah Lozano both competed at the THSPA Boys State Powerlifting Championships on March 27th!
