XII. OFFENSE PENALTIES:
- Sack Count (failure to pass within allotted time) - Loss of that down (same as incomplete pass)
- Offensive Pass Interference (pushing off/away defender) – 10 yard penalty and replay the down.
- Offensive Illegal contact (holding/pushing/use of hands) – 5 yard penalty, loss of down
- Illegal motion (2 men in motion) – 5 yard penalty and replay the down.
- Illegal Formation – 5 yard penalty and replay the down.
- Illegal Run – 5 yard penalty and loss of down.
- False Start – 5 yard penalty, replay the down.
- Illegal Forward Pass – 5 yard penalty and loss of down (QB steps over the LOS or QB throws a forward pass behind the LOS).
- Blocking/Leaping/Flag Guarding/Stiff Arms/Charges – ball is dead at the spot of the block/leap/flag guard
- Unnecessary roughness/Unsportsmanlike conduct – 15 yard penalty, loss of down (possible ejection).
- Delay of Game – clock is stopped and a 5 yard penalty, replay down
- No Intentionally Grounding Penalty
XIII. DEFENSIVE PENALTIES:
- Defensive Pass Interference - 10 yard penalty and replay down unless it’s an offensive catch; Offense decides. 1 st down can occur depending on the yardage.
- Illegal Contact (holding, jams, etc.) – 5 yard penalty and replay down over unless it’s an offensive catch; Offense decides.
- Defensive Holding while pulling flag – 5 yard penalty added to the end of the play and replay the down.
- Illegal Flag Pull (before player has ball) – 5 yard penalty at end of the play and replay the down.
- Off-sides – 5 yard penalty and replay the down.
- Illegal Rushing (before a hand-off or fake hand-off has occurred) – 5 yard penalty and replay the down; offense decides.
- Inadvertent tackle – 5 yard penalty, replay the down
- Inadvertent tackle From Behind w/clear path to end zone – Automatic Touchdown.
- Unnecessary roughness/Unsportsmanlike conduct – 15 yard penalty and automatic 1st down (possible ejection).
- Defensive Penalties inside the 10 yard line will result in half the distance to the Goalline if applicable.
XIV. Unsportsmanlike Conduct
- If the field monitor or referee witnesses any acts of intentional tackling, elbowing, cheap shots, blocking or any unsportsmanlike act, the game will be stopped, and the player will be ejected from the game. The decision is made at the referee’s discretion. No appeals will be considered.
- Offensive or confrontational language is not allowed. Officials have the right to determine offensive language. If offensive or confrontational language occurs, the referee will give one warning. If it continues, the player or players will be ejected from the game.
- Players may not physically or verbally abuse any opponent, coach or official.
- Ball-carriers MUST make an effort to avoid defenders with an established position.
- Defenders are not allowed to run through the ball-carrier when pulling flags.
- Fans must also adhere to good sportsmanship as well:
- Yell to cheer on your players, not to harass officials or other teams
- Keep comments clean and profanity-free
- Compliment ALL players, not just one child or team.
XV. Sportsmanship
- Trash talking is not allowed. Trash talking is an offensive language used against opposing coaches, players, officials, league personnel or fans. Officials will give one and only one warning. If this trash-talking continues, the offender may be ejected from the game.
- If any league personnel or officials witness any act of roughhousing, including but not limited to, tackling, elbowing, cheap shots, or any other unsportsmanlike act, the game will be stopped, and that player may be ejected. Further disciplinary action may follow including event expulsion.
- After the game, teams are expected to form a line at midfield and congratulate the opposing team regardless of the outcome of the game.
XVI. Ejections
- Flagrant Unsportsmanlike Conduct or Personal Fouls (Tackling, Pass Interference, and Charging)
- Intentionally Tampering with Equipment
- Bad Sportsmanship
- At the official’s discretion, a player, coach, or fan may be ejected from the field for unsportsmanlike conduct or any flagrant violation of the rules. To eject a player, coach or a fan the referee will call an official’s time out and get an event liaison PRIOR to making this call.
- Any person ejected will be asked to leave the field before play resumes. If an ejected player/fan/parent does not leave the field, a delay of game penalty will be called and will continue to be called until the situation is addressed.
- Any person ejected may be put on probation with possible suspension, depending upon the severity of the incident. Any person ejected may be asked to leave the event premises.
