2025 BW Flag Football (boys OU10, OU12, OU12, OU14, OU16, girls GU12, GU14, GU16, GU20)
NCAFA flag football has grown immensely in the last few years. We are trying to offer more games and tournaments in addition to our " spring regular season". NCAFA and the Bell Warriors will continually keep coaches and parents  abreast of these opportunities. Check here and ncafa.ca.

Bell Warriors Flag begins in early April at the Nepean Sportsplex (outdoor Minto field) on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The focus is on teaching the fundamentals of the game (throwing, catching, running, flagging).

As April closes, team formation and team development takes on more importance. We continue at the Sportsplex but as grass fields open  we shift to Twin Elm Rugby Park for the rest of the year. Practices are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays but shift to weeknights as May progresses. In general practices have been Tuesdays and Thursdays but the coach will work with the team to choose the best nights of practice. The main season for scheduled games is Saturday May 25 - Sunday June 22 (boys on Saturdays, girls on Sundays). Games are at various locations across the city.

Organisation and planning is becoming more and more important as flag football grows. This means we need registration, coach selection, team formation and team planning need to occur sooner. Registration will begin by February 1. Register sooner than later.

Finding coaches and managers  is the most important step in running our program. We can't form teams until we have coaches. Please email rodmoors12@gmail.com if you are interested. We offer extensive coach and manager training.

Fees are $200 for the April - June season. Participants buy their uniform (approx. $60) and they use from year to year until they outgrow it. All Bell teams have the same uniform. Football Canada/Football Ontario charge $22.5 for participation.  On turf regular running shoes, soccer cleats football. cleats are acceptable. On grass soccer cleats are good while football cleats are best. When games begin mouthguards are mandatory. Inexpensive mouthguards are provided free of charge for those that want one.

OU06, OU08 and OU19
Bell Warriors get closer each year to having enough interest in having a program at each of the age ranges above. Please email rodmoors12@gmail.com if you are interested. This will act as an initial registration. Fees will only occur when the program is a go. OU06 and OU08 are coed divisions.

Weather Policy: The Director of Bell Warriors Flag Football (Rod Moors) will always attend practice sessions, rain or shine. I cancel them rarely and if I do everyone will receive an email notification and it will be posted here as well. A coach may cancel practice for his/her team and communicate this directly to his/her team. Parents decide if it is appropriate for their children to attend practice because of weather concerns. There are no repercussions from not attending a practice due to weather concerns. If a player attends practice then it is my job (and the coach's) to ensure a safe environment for the player (heat, humidity, cold, lightning etc.). All of these issues will be taken seriously and dealt with properly.
