The Next Level 2026: The Pipeline Continues

Every year, the Kingston Grenadiers celebrate a tradition that stretches far beyond wins and championships. It is the tradition of developing young athletes, building character, and helping players reach opportunities at the next level of football. The 2026 edition of The Next Level showcases another remarkable chapter in that story. From U SPORTS programs across Canada to the Canadian Junior Football League and even the professional ranks of the CFL and NFL, former Grenadiers continue to make their mark on the game.

For the Kingston Grenadiers, success is not measured solely by scoreboards. It is measured by the number of athletes who continue their football journey after leaving our program. This year's list features dozens of former Grenadiers competing with universities and junior programs from coast to coast, representing schools such as Queen's, Western, Ottawa, Waterloo, Calgary, Acadia, Mount Allison, Toronto, Carleton, Guelph, Bishop's, Windsor, York, BC, and more. 

The local connection remains especially strong at Queen's University, where several former Grenadiers have continued their careers with the Gaels. Across Ontario and beyond, Grenadiers alumni can be found in nearly every major university football conference, demonstrating the strength of football development in Kingston and the surrounding region. The pipeline does not stop at U SPORTS. Former Grenadiers are also making an impact in the CJFL,  continuing to gain experience and pursue opportunities at higher levels of the game. Each athlete on this list serves as an inspiration for the next generation of players currently wearing navy and white.

Perhaps most exciting is the growing legacy of Grenadiers who have reached the professional ranks. Players developed through Kingston-area football programs and the Grenadiers pathway have gone on to represent CFL organizations across the country and, in several cases, earn opportunities in the NFL.  These athelets stand as proof that athletes from Kingston can compete at the highest levels of the sport. Their accomplishments continue to raise the profile of football in our community and provide a roadmap for young athletes dreaming of following in their footsteps. 

What makes this list truly special is that it represents more than athletic achievement. Each player began with a love for the game, a commitment to improvement, and the support of coaches, teammates, families, and volunteers who helped make their journey possible. The success of these athletes reflects the strength of the entire Kingston football community.

To every player featured in this year's edition of The Next Level, congratulations. You continue to make the Grenadiers family proud. Your dedication, perseverance, and accomplishments demonstrate what is possible through hard work and commitment. And to the young athletes currently beginning their journey with the Grenadiers, remember that every name on this list once stood where you stand today. The next name on this list could be yours. Once a Grenadier.
