Registration for the upcoming season opens on JUNE 1st for our West Ottawa Stingers Recreational Program and our West Ottawa Hornets Competitive Program!
Players interested in trying out for a West Ottawa Hornets Competitive Team must register for tryouts, which will begin in the first week of September. The tryout schedule will be posted on our website and emailed to all players registered online to participate. 
Players who register for tryouts and would like to be placed on a West Ottawa Stingers Recreational Team if not selected for a West Ottawa Hornets Competitive Team, must also register for the Recreational Program before registration closes AUGUST 31st, 2025.
Once tryouts have been completed and the rosters are set, players selected for our West Ottawa Hornets Competitive Teams will complete their registration. 
We are looking forward to a fun and exciting season ahead!

All players must register online to participate.
The $25.00 tryout fees is payable at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
Tryouts begin the first week of September and the tryout schedule will be posted on
our website and emailed to all participants once it is confirmed.


Registration fee for the season - $550.00
Team fees - $400.00+, depending on the team's schedule

All players must register by August 31st to avoid the registration deadline.
Each U7-U8 player receives a team t-shirt and a basketball as part of their registration. 
U10-19 players receive a game jersey as part of registration.
The season starts September 29th, 2025.

Registration fees for the season:
U7 & U8 Divisions - $250.00
U10 - U19 Divisions - $400.00

Removing Financial Barriers.
Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more. Please note that, Individual Child Grant applications may no longer be accepted at your local Chapter. Please register/log in to your Jumpstart account to confirm the Chapter's status.

  KIDSPORT OTTAWA

We provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Ottawa can play a season of sport.
Our chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $250 per child/year, for kids who live in Ottawa, or in one of the other communities we serve. If you live outside of Ottawa please contact the Provincial Office to find your nearest chapter, or to get support through the Provincial Fund.

  GROWING UP THROUGH SPORTS

Ontario Growing Up Through Sports offers financial assistance to low-income families across communities in Ontario. Ontario Growing Up Through Sports believes that no matter the situation at home, all kids should be able to enjoy what playing sports has to offer in their local communities.
Ontario Growing Up Through Sports offers an online application process to receive funding for your child (or children).
