Stonewall Sports San Francisco is a volunteer-run non-profit sports league that provides a safe and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to learn, grow, and connect. We strive to promote player development, community service, and a positive player experience both on and off the field.
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in sports and feel accepted for who they are.
We prioritize building a community of players who support each other, have fun, and give back to their local community. We will do this through curated social engagements and an emphasis on community service.
We encourage growth and development of all players, regardless of skill level or experience. We provide online and in-person training for all players, captains, and referees. We want all our participants to learn and enjoy playing any sport they participate in.
On and off the field, we play fair, respect one another, and accept responsibility for our actions.
We believe in giving back to the community by volunteering and making charitable donations. We will provide meaningful opportunities for getting involved in the local community.
We have a talented, dedicated, and diverse leadership board whose first priority is to create a high-quality player experience through allyship with players and mentoring of team captains, clear and concise league-wide communications, consistent schedules, certified umpires, and inclusive social events.
As a non-profit, our main focus is to invest in the community. Our organization is completely volunteer-based. 100% of registration fees go directly towards equipment, league-wide social events, and charitable donations.
We are committed to creating a league where everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported.
We believe that kickball (or the other sports to come) can be more than just a sport - it can be a vehicle for positive development in our community.
