Parents Corner

SEDBSL structure…many questions come-up regarding practice/game locations, season length, league age, etc:

With that said, here are a few answers that might help:

  • Baseball League Age: player’s age as of April 30, 2022…you may play-up in age divisions, not down.
  • Season Length: Baseball Opening Day is April 25th – runs thru end of June:
  • Practice Location: Coaches determine location based on limited availability within the Denver area.
  • Game Locations: SEDBSL baseball home fields are at the Hargrove Sports Complex (Holly Hills)…South on Locust off of Yale, between Holly and Monaco…we utilize fields throughout the city of Denver.
  • Schedules: Each baseball division consists of 12-14 games...baseball divisions 7-15yr old, have an end of season tourney to be completed by end of June…games can be played any day/eve of the week…Unfortunately, schedules come out last minute due to field permitting, registration and team formation.
  • Teams: SEDBSL allows parents and coaches to form their own teams…for players in need of a team; Ages 5-8 we do our best to assign player to a team that is best matched geographically or by school…Ages 9-12; if no team then player will be assigned to a team.

*Note: if you know your coach request, you’ll have an opportunity to include that when registering on-line…IMPORTANT: your registration confirmation will show all players as “FREE AGENTS”…once we move the player to requested team, that will change…best to always stay in communication with your requested coach.
