coach sean lavictoire

Sean Lavictoire is a lifelong lover of basketball who has been involved in the game as both a player and coach for over two decades. He played competitively throughout his youth, including at Algonquin College in 2014, before turning his focus to coaching and player development.
Sean brings more than 20 years of coaching experience to the court and has guided athletes at both the club and high school levels. With the GCBA Wolverines U15 team, he led the program to an outstanding 11-1 record in the EOBA U16AA division, a gold medal at the MSBI Invitational, silver in Division 2 of the CYBL Spring/Summer League, and a silver medal at the Ontario Cup. At Collège catholique Samuel-Genest, Sean has helped his teams achieve consistent success, highlighted by an NCSAA Junior Boys Tier 1 finalist finish (2023), an NCSAA Senior Boys Bronze Division Championship (2022), and the NCSAA Senior Boys AA Championship (2025).
Sean believes the most important thing a coach can instill in young players is a love for the game. Once athletes truly enjoy basketball, he believes hard work comes naturally. He also values the role of sport in building character, teaching discipline, and developing a strong work ethic. Above all, Sean strives to be a positive influence in the lives of his players, helping them grow both on and off the court.
